David haye saying he will not fight vitali

That is a good list by any standards. Not great, but good.

They hurt him, but not badly (aside from the cuts in the Lewis fight).

Haye says a lot of things.

Solis has about as much chance of beating Vitaly as hittting the moon with a rock.

 

Vitali is too old for David Haye to fight! Haye said it himself. End of story!!

 

i hope vitali looks good in beating up solis and doesnt look so old when he fights.

 

He is a similar age to Valuev, Ruiz and Harrison.

So we are back to Haye being a coward.

 

That's my point, he had the potential to be great, an iron chinned, elusive, hard hitting machine. He should have beaten byrd, made the lewis fight a unification, in his 4 year absence he could have packed up over ten defences, his only loss being to the great lennox lewis. He'd have been the next dominant champ. I had high hopes for him.

However he suffered his injuries and hasn't looked like the same unstoppable man. That mantle has been taken by his brother.

But he can still be hurt, and I believe solis will hurt him and year him down.

I know he says a lot, this whole thread and debate is off the back of something he said

Haye gets too much publicity for my liking. We should be talking about derek the man who has the balls to challenge the mighty wladimir. But no, all you guys want to discuss is haye :-(

exactly. IMO he's ruling out Vitaly b/c he's got the better chin and thus he'd have even less of a shot to beat vitaly than wlad

 

Anybody can be hurt. Vitaly has just showed it takes a hell of a lot more to hurt himthan it does your avergage heavy.

As for "could have" been great- he ain't done. The man has not lost a round since his comeback and could easily fight on for 2-3 more years if he wanted. With his list of wins, he just needs to find a couple of good top end wins. Haye could be one of those, which is why its so frustrating the coward won't fight him.

 

i seriously think he'll struggle to break the top 30 now. just imagine without the injuries, he could have wins over byrd, maskaev, rahman, ruiz, valuev, briggs, toney, holyfield, plus a couple of mandatories. i have no doubt the vitali that beat williams could have gone on to unify.

lets say he stays around for 3 years like you say. and lets say he beats haye, thats it belts unified. haye goes down as arguably his best victory.

i genuinely believe vitali is the biggest waste of potential this last decade.

the guy could have been 60-2 with 15 lineal defences.

This is the YouTube video documenting Haye was on German TV like 18 months ago saying how much he'd love to fight Vitali and how much beef they have and how this would be a great fight.

Haye gets smacked by Vitali as Vitali promises Haye he will be in for one hell of a ride in the ring and Vitali personally vows to punish him. Haye gives off his best impression of a fake smile.

Fast forward to today and Haye says he's not interested in Vitali
