I wonder if Golota would have had an aledged cardiac arrest if he had won the fight.

Sounds just like a Holyfieldesque medical excuse used to help the fighter come to terms with having his ass kicked.

Bowe had the same panic attack but that was as soon as he was offered a fight with Lewis - Akinwande similarly had the panic attack/rabbit in headlights aproach to Lewis.

Golota is on the same skill level as Michael Grant - Who did about as well against Lewis

    This thread is pretty shameful.

According to these guys, Golota just fed the N.Y. Times, ESPN, and every other major media outlet tall tales for months on end and they just didn't bother to check up on anything. Somehow we are the ones that have our heads in the clouds....

And we apparently just hate Lennox Lewis despite doing nothing to slur him.

    In other news:

-Buddy Baer badly injured his back in a car accident right before his anticipated Joe Louis rematch.
-Cleveland Williams had literally been shot and lost several feet of intestine before facing Ali.
-Pinklon Thomas injured his shoulder going into the Tyson fight.
-Holyfield was suffering from the side effects of HGH abuse when he lost to Moorer.

**** happens, and its not "hate" to awknowledge it. But its certainly weird and creepy when you try to deny it.

The injection story was spin from the Golota camp/Duvas to try and maintain some marquee value. It absolutely wasn't a factor in the fight. Golota has admitted this himself.

I also thought Golota was a serious threat based upon the 2 career ending beatings he put on Bowe. I was very nervous before the fight, expecting the toughest fight of Lewis' career.

As for Lewis/Tyson, while Lewis dominated throughout, I thought Lewis showed signs of decline. His hand speed looked slower than I had previously seen but it was still more than enough to beat a shot Tyson. Personally I think it's a very overrated win, though it did a lot for Lewis' legacy with the casual fans who still remembered the Tyson of the 80's rather than the faded reality.

Golota was simply destroyed by a better man. I guess he was near dead that night too..

You don't really understand reporting do you. Those articles are just quoting what Golota's camp said. The same way you will find ESPN articles quoting Haye saying Wlad is ducking him, the same way you will find NY Times articles quoting Mayweather Sr saying Pac is on drugs. I guess those are true as well then?

    You cannot be that ******ed.

The only ******s here are you and your fellow delusional Lewis huggers.

You think Mongoose is going to hire a team of lawyers and investigators to pull up documents and records to prove it to you?

    Get over yourself.

You are a fool and have made yourself look like one in this thread.

Deluded Golota nuthugger who thinks Golota was the second coming of Ali. The guy was a Glass Jawed quitter and bottle job.

Lewis blasted him out like the trash that he was.

Whatever makes you feel good. Maybe Lewis should have visited Golota at the hospital and blasted him out again. :patsch

And for your information I don't post trash like the Lewis huggers on this thread. If you can't face the facts then keep your inappropriate comments to yourself.

    No.

I'm a big fan of Lewis but he just capitalized on Golota's anxiety. Golota was fighting tentatively and Lennox capitalized, like he was supposed to do.

Andrew looked scared & unstable in the locker room before the fight & on the way to the ring I knew he wasn't prepared.

To Lennox's credit he did end it earlier than I expected, but that was not his best performance. That's like saying his best performance was against Oliver McCall in the rematch where Oliver was literally a recovering crack head. Lewis beat his ass like he should've but Oliver wasn't fighting back.

My favorite Lewis fight is still his destruction of Razor Ruddock closely followed by his revenge fight against Rahman. I also appreciate his domination of Tua & Tyson but not in the same league as the first 2 I mentioned.

All true. Golota was a gifted boxer with an awesome jab, inside fighting & accurate combinations. Too bad he was mentally unstable. :-(

Golota was a never was... he couldn't even seal the deal against a past it Bowe for **** sakes.

Lewis put him down and kept him there, Golota just couldn't deal with Lewis' power and determination that night.
