Enzo is going to get hurt if he carrys on - his ego has proven to be too big for his own good - and its obvious he is getting knocked out again when he fights a live fighter.

its going to end badly.

Really suprised. We always thought about him going to HW.

175 does lengthen his career a touch but remember what happened when Chris Byrd decided to do this.

Those guys might be smaller but they are faster, more co-ordinated, in better shape, more agile etc The general benefits of being a smaller man. Plus 200 still seems to be no mans land for big LHW and **** small HW.

 

Utter lunacy. If Enzo's punch resistance has gone as a cruiser, he will just emphasise the point if he boils down to light heavy. This has disaster written all over it. I think Enzo is a nice lad with an engaging personality, but he needs to think of another way of making a living. This will end in tears.

 

One of my abiding memories of following boxing is when, on the Khan vs Barrera show, Enzo had everyone in the arena chanting his name. This was testament to his popularity not, and I don't mean this is a bad way, as a boxer but as a great person. It is because he is such a nice guy that many of us hoped we'd never see him in the ring again and I hope that whatever it is that Enzo feels he needs to come back for ends swiftly without anything bad happening to him.

I have a sneeky feeling that he is trying to land a fight with Nathan Cleverly, which would be an enormous pay-day for him, but Cleverly will beat him quite badly.

 

Oh dear. He really should of called quits after the haye fight.

His next fight he will lose. Almost guaranteed. Box punch resistance he did have has been knocked out of him in this last 3 years.

Seriously anyone beating him won't get much credit it. Infact they'd get slaughtered. Bellew and mcintosh would both end him.

 

He needs stopping for his own good.This is a stupid idea.

 

I dont think he would you know. I'm sure Clev would win the fight if it went the distance, but Clev doesn't have the power to hurt even a weight drained Enzo IMO. But I know Enzo could spark Clev that's for sure. I don't think it would be as straightforward as a Clev beat down.

Having said that, Id like to see Enzo call it a day for the same reasons as everyone else

he needs to keep as far away from enzo calzaghe as possible though...just my opinion..
if he's going to do this he needs to fight different than he did...all cagzaghe ever taught him was to go out giving his all round after round till he was gassed out 2/3rds way through a fight.
he needs a team who can get his diet and conditioning spot on, so he is as strong and healthy as possible at the weight....and he needs a trainer who has got the smarts to train him to pace himself and work on tactics for fights
the ola afalobi fight is the best example for me...i regard enzo mac as a superior boxer to afalobi...still....and enzo could have won that fight easily by putting in maybe half the effort he did...he actually fought himself into a losing position...and that clown enzo calzaghe sending him out round after round shouting and roaring at him to come on....enzo could have stood back and jab and cross his way to a handy points win...enzo calzaghe should have known about afalobi and how he was sparring partner to big names because he was so durable...anyway..all history that now..

i wish enzo well....but he needs the right team to get the best of whats left in him out..

well said soug i agree big mac could of won that fight easily people dount realise enzo aint just a ko machine he is a very good boxer when he wants to be he just wears his heart on his sleave and likes to please the crowd.
He was pissing ola tile he gassed and look how well ola done against huck i thought ola just nicked that fight myself

 

Enzo was beating Afolabi easily before the KO
he was also whooping Frenkels ass before the KO

Only people he didnt even have a chance against were Haye and Lebedev.

Haye went onto win the WBA at HW
Lebedev went onto lose a controversial decision to Marco Huck.

Hope he does well at 175 . . .
