    Opinion
Boxers who have that Ring IQ to see their opponent coming in slow mo, to anticipate moves and tactics,
    the ability to adjust
to be spontaneous in their reaction = the right reaction (regardless if successful or not)
and find a way to beat any type of opponent

    10 Yuriorkis Gamboa
    9 Guillermo Rigondeux
    8 Juan Manuel Lopez
    7 Manny Pacquiao
    6 Juan Manuel Marquez
    5 Andre Ward
4 James Toney (is he still active)
    3 Bernard Hopkins
    2 Floyd Mayweather
    1 Nonito Donaire

I kind of like mayweather to be number one, but I believe Donaire smells blood faster. how bout you?

Im a big Gamboa fan but i dont see why hes on your list.. Think he gets by mostly on athletic ability and power.... I mean he does have a lengthy amatuer background but no way is he a top 10 smartest fighter... Im not a wlad guy but he should probably be on there.... Another unheralded but difficult fighter/slash good boxer is LW titlist Miguel Vasquez.

you're probably right about Gamboa. I was even thinking of not including Pacman cause he does get by with ability (think roach does all the thinking).

Miguel Vasquez, I don't know much about. will watch more of him to see what you mean, anarci. tnx

I think B-Hop is number one as he doesn't have the athletic ability of someone like Mayweather.

That beign said Mayweather is second!

    1.Mayweather/Hopkins
    2.Marquez

Nobody else is really in the same league as these three in terms of intelligence. Although i think Carl Froch should be high in a top 10 list

What does that have to do with anything? Do I get extra points on my IQ test if I'm a mute?

The Donaire hype is abit much now...

1-2 is between B-Hop and Floyd (I'm leaning towards Floyd with Bernard jus behind BUT that top 2 for sure!

gamboa shouldn't be on the list. I like Donaire, but his defense has to improve before you put him in there with the likes of Mayweather and BHop. I like Marquez and think he should be over ward, cause ward has just been outworking and head butting fighters thats not so intelligent lol,.
