This content is protected Floyd Mayweather told the world he is the greatest fighter ever, his undefeated record proves it. But when it comes time to fight Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather is quiet as a mouse. Until, Pacquiao signs to fight someone else, then Floyd comes out and talks some of his worthless bulljive and nonsense. Shane Mosley, like everyone else in-the-know, put it best. If Floyd wanted to fight Pacquiao, he’d be fighting him. Clearly Floyd, underneath the cocky front he masquerades, must be freaked out and spooked by what Manny Pacquiao is accomplishing and how he is doing it. Despite his own outstanding, though perhaps overrated achievements, Floyd is lacking confidence to match his skillset against Pacquiao’s. Which is strange because so many highly respected boxing world figures actually believe Mayweather can defeat Pacquiao. Tomasz Adamek, Don King, Mike Tyson, Emanuel Steward, Wladimir Klitschko, Bernard Hopkins, Oscar Dela Hoya, Juanma Lopez, Zab Judah, Sergio Martinez all believe Mayweather has the essential attributes to defeat Pacquiao. You would think that the boxing IQ of that collective field of pugilstic genius would be enough alone to pump Floyd up and spark him into action, aside from the the enormous payday that is there waiting to be earned. Yet for almost two years now we have seen no action, just empty, fake words from Floyd Mayweather about fighting Manny Pacquiao. What in the world could have happened to the confidence in the mind of 41-0 Floyd Mayweather, the pound for pound Picasso, the greatest boxer in the history of the sport, superior even to Muhammad Ali and Ray Robinson? Is he secretly so in awe of Manny Pacquiao that he is 100% totally psyched out and completely psychologically destroyed? It’s entirely possible. There is an old analogy about dogs which may illustrate what has happened between the psychological chasm between Pacquiao and Mayweatherth. It relates to the alpha male of the wolfpack. When the alpha male of the wolfpack senses and comes to the realization that there is a new alpha male in his pack, his behavioral instincts perform a very strange and unexpected action. Instead of confronting and fighting the new challenger to his alpha male status of domination and leadership, the once mighty sad old wolf instead backs down and voluntarily leaves his pack to the new alpha male without even putting up a contest. The mentally defeated dog leaves the pack with tail between legs, forfeiting his alpha male status by default. Is this not what is happening between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather in the sport of boxing today? The former face of boxing has departed the sport without even putting up a fight to hold off the challenge of the new alpha male Manny Pacquiao, who now reigns supreme as the undisputed leader, ultimate champion and the new face of boxing. Meanwhile, Floyd Mayweather hides away in virtual silence, unsure and confused about what he should do next. And wondering, deep in his heart of hearts, what has happened to his confidence, despite the support and faith of such disappointed backers as Tyson, Klitschko, Adamek, Judah, De La Hoya, Lopez, Martinez, Hopkins, King and Steward who all believe he can actually defeat Manny Pacquiao. COMMENTS When I used to watch tv as a young fight-fan, Marvin Hagler was middleweight champ, and other fighters that this hardcore boxing fan was raised on were Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran, Alexis Arguello, Aaron Pryor, Salvador Sanchez, Larry Holmes, Julio Cesar Chavez, Mike Tyson the contender in 1985 as he climbed the rankings in his 1st year as a pro, Julian Jackson, Mike McCallum, I've got that terrific barometer by which to compare, son, and Manny Pac Man Pacquiao is cut from their cloth. He is in fact a legitimate All-Time Great. Fight-fans used to idolize Great fighters like Pacquiao; sadly, many young fight-fans nowadays disrespect the Great fighter instead. You guys should be proud to have a Great fighter like Pacquiao in your era, a man with guts and balls as large as grapefruits as he steps up and fights monsters like Cotto, Clottey, and Margarito. And he fights them with guts: he don't run around and hide from them. So many young fans nowadays are so easily led and disrespect him because they believe mayweather's smokescreens and bull$#!t. floid's character (or lack therof) is revealed by his actions of beating at least 6 women over the years, pled guilty to some of them, racist videos, getting sued, road-rage, driveby shooting, convicted coke dealer floid sr., crackhead roger who's also been to jail for woman-beating, etc. maywetahers are the gutter of society. floid maywetaher is a could've been. and he wasted his talent for 9 years because he lost his nerve and avoided all the best guys in Boxing. Brilliant beginning until 2002, and floid doesn't rate with the legendary fighting devils on my list above. He's a psychological coward, and the most over-rated boxer in all Boxing history. The lil drama-queen clown never fooled REAL Boxing fans. - unsilent majority, February 16, 2011 12:25PM Of the fighters you named I was only lucky enough to see Tyson fight. That still doesn't change the fact that a lot of what you're saying isn't true. First of all, I'm sick of the black and white mentality that labels Mayweather as the scum of the earth and Pacquiao as a god among men. Mayweather has a criminal record and has said some pretty bad things but he's also done a ton of charity. Pacquiao is very humble, and is a senator in the Phillipines, but he also cheated on his wife. You probably hate Tiger Woods for doing the same thing. My point is, let's stop with the good guy bad guy thing and focus on their actual achievements in the sport. I agree Pacquiao is an all time great. He an incredible fighter who is very entertaining to watch and has an excellent record while facing many top contenders. I'm not criticizing him, I'm criticizing you. Mayweather did not lose his nerve 9 years ago. You can stubbornly ignore the fact that I dismantled your "proof" of this in my last post but it doesn't change the truth. Mayweather does not run from his opponents either. He usually doesn't stand and trade punches but being a brawler or a boxer puncher is not a requirement to be an all time great. Two of the most vicious beatings he has ever delivered (Ndou and Gatti) came after you claim he lost his nerve. Just last year he walked down Shane Mosley even after he got rocked in the second round. Lastly, Mayweather's cherry picking has been completely blown out of proportion. He called out Mosley back in 2005 and Mosley ducked him. The other 3 guys he shouldve fought at one point or another are Cotto, Margarito, and of course Pacquiao. These guys have something on common- no it's not that Mayweather is scared of them. They are all Top Rank fighters. Ever since Mayweather and Arum split, there has been a lot of tension and fights have failed to materialize as a result. A lot of that is Mayweather's fault, but it's because he's an egomaniac, not a coward. Like it or not, Mayweather is still an all time great. - Slick, February 16, 2011 3:41PM The author lists all the opinions of so-called geniuses, but that's all they are - opinions. Mayweather does not believe anyone else's opinion because in his heart, he is afraid of Pacquiao. After all, he is the one that has to get in that ring to take the beating. The only problem is like the author rightly puts it, he is an alpha male who would rather run away than die against the new alpha male. But in doing so, dies a thousand deaths. In boxing, all his accomplishments has gone for naught, because nobady likes a coward. Michael Spinks was the undisputed, undefeated champhion at one time. When it was time to face Iron Mike, he faced him. He got knocked out of course, But nobody ever accused him of being a coward. He faced his fear and can look everyone in the eye to say that he was a man! Floyd will never man up, and thus will die a thousand deaths. This will haunt him until he dies if does not face Pacquiao wondering what could have been at his old age. He may even lose his mind obsessing about it. In fact, his destructive behavior and legal troubles of late are already clear signs of mental and nervous breakdwon. Man up Floyd! When you do, people may stop calling you names like Gay-weather. Take your cues from Michael Spinks! - Michael Spinks, February 16, 2011 4:18AM
He's never had any confidence at welter. He ducked Margarito and Cotto in my opinion although I could understand that since there was not a great deal of money in it by his standards. If he does not fight Pacquiao it's a total duck although I agree that Pacquiao is probly taking steroids.
Floyd a G. He clowned on emmanuel so bad the entire filipino nation caught feelings and had to dedicate a commercial to Floyd.

The always fail to mention how emmanuel tried to dedicate a commercial to Floyd, emmanuel fans chanting Floyd's name immediately after emmanuel's most impressive win in recent years (Cotto), and emmanuel looking silly trying to do the shoulder roll. There was a video of a couple of pacfags spotting Floyd in the mall. Them clowns took off their MP hats when Floyd walked through. :rofl:roflatsch
dont listen too these ****** pac-***** lovers... there just hating as always... as i recall floyd stepped up to fight mosely when pacquiao was making allsorts of excuses :hi::bbb
He's going to down in history as a total ***** if he doesn't fight Pacman, its as simple as that. Alleged duckings of big welterweights such as Margo and Cotto is one thing but dodging one of the biggest clashes in boxing for years will leave him badly tarnished.
caught feelings hehe that's hilarious. i think fraud's fans are catching a lot of 'em right now... :hey
He lost it after watching pac demolish Hatton. I'm a huge huge pac fan but i have Floyd winning a decision if they'll ever fight and I'm serious...
