I could watch Cotto all day, loved that he worked 'through' the rounds.

    Thank you!

The movement at 2:12 really highlights his balance and efficiency; always in position to punch. I can't wait to see Cotto in action implementing what Steward has in mind- boxing and moving on the outside, but trying to keep the fight on the inside and punish him with hard short punches.

Cotto is a bad ass... not quite on the margarito level but still a tough man!

Steward really does like to work with the basics, the straight punches and long hooks maybe some uppercut but no 5-6 punch combos. Look at what he does though and there is a subtle pieces of advice which you can see really help fighters get a little extra weight and snap in their punches. I could watch him working the pads all day.

Right hand at 3:06 nearly knocked him over.

It still upsets me that Cotto basically cheated himself out of being truly great

Stayed with this Uncle for so long instead of going to a real trainer. Cotto was always good, but his flaws were very obvious; something a more experienced trainer could have fixed long before.

Ok I see that. But hey we'll never know. He'll always be great in my eyes. He is the definition of what a fighter should be.

He put on 15 for the Pac fight. He weighed in at 150 came to the ring at 165. Also there was rumors he was struggling getting down to weight and also at the weigh in his hair looked wet like he just got done running.
Yes i think he comes to the ring at 170 or slightly lower. 1 or 2 pounds.

Call me crazy but i always thought Cotto should have gotten a MAyweather to train him. Roger, Floyd or Jeff. They all implement that philly shell style very well and Cotto already utilizes that. Its a poor philly shell thats why his success is very limited with it but if he got a trainer that would sharpen it he could have been better. They say you cant teach an old dog new tricks which in the boxing game is usually right so why not just polish those tricks.

Anyone else agree with the Cotto/Mayweather combo?
