In what way is it out of order to fans? I am not seeking to be confrontational, but my main concern these days is that top fighters are not active enough. If Wlad arranges three bouts, all with their own type of interest and two against two of the best possible opponents he could face, I would just be pleased that he is looking to make some decent fights. Three in a year is great for a champion, particularly at the higher weights. He will presumably have a clause in the contract for each saying that he has to win the preceding fight. I am not knocking you at all, particularly as a newbie around here, I am just interested to know why signing for three fights in a year is out of order on boxing fans?
I guess Cleverly is deffinatley April 2nd along with John Murray agaisnt someone (looks like Mitchell will happen). We still don't know whats happening with DeGale and Groves. Stephen Smith is with Frankie Gavin, Bellew vs McEnzie 2, Kell Brook. Could get Ricky Burns on the show to. He could do.... Ricky Burns vs Terdsak Jandeng (WBO Super Featherweight) Kell Brook vs Vitalay Dimanchenko (WBO Interim Welterweight) Enzo Macceranelli vs Alejandro Lakatus (WBO Light Heavyweight Eliminator) Ashley Theophane vs Frankie Gavin (British Light Welterweight) Sam Sexton vs John McDermott (Vacant Commonwealth Heavyweight) Tony Bellew vs Ovil McEnzie (British & Commonwealth Light Heavyweight) Joe Selkirk vs Max Maxwell (Vacant Commonwealth Light Middleweight) Reckon it would sell in Birmingham where Frankie Gavin has a big fan base. Then to the US for Carl Froch vs Glen Johnson (WBC Super Middleweight/Super Six Semi) Cornelius Bundrage vs Austin Trout (IBF & WBA Light Middleweight) Tyson Fury vs Kevin Johnson (10x3 Heavyweight)
haha ****ing hate keano. theres no switching of sides always thought the Klitsckos are a bunch of wankers.
the rhodes to warren stuff was just a rumour don't think theres anything to it. Jones has bigger fish to try than Brook.
I agree, it's refreshing to see someone wanting to fight the best. That's not what pisses me off. For me, him signing fights means he is disrespecting his opponent as he is looking past his next fight. If chisora was such an easy fight that he is confident enough to sign a fight 9 weeks after, why take the fight in the first place? Then what happens if Chisora beats Wlad? I know it's a long shot but this is HW boxing. Wlad then has a rematch clause with Del Boy which he will take, making the Haye and Adamek contracts void.
I don't see a problem. If he wants to disrespect them, they have the opportunity to do something about it. If they are unable, he has made the right decision by forward planning. Let's not get too precious over this.
Its just the fact that the Chisora fight seems to be so easy to them that they can have 2 fights lined up afterwards. Theres people paying good money to go and watch thats fight which the fighter is not taking seriously.
But, surely that says more about the people paying good money to se Wlad vs Chisora rather than Wlad himself? If they're over in Germany for a good **** up thats fine, but the venture all the way out there soley because they want to see the fight... ?
If he can win it 'without taking it seriously' then why pay good money? Don't worry about the ignorant.
Mike Jones vs Brook is an undercard fight in the states. HBO would want to pick that up. Jones is fighting June 4th on Chavez jr-Zbik undercard.
Yeh HBO would take that. Brook is very well thought of in the states. You could say he has faced nobody blah blah blah but he is entertaining. I thik Jones will look for an easiar route though. He is mando for Zaveck and Senchenko.
i dont see the problem, wlad is putting on plenty of fights for the fans and also to line his own pockets, **** it let him do it, if he looks past one he will prob still beat them as chisora adamek and haye are bums
