    some people only judge from the oscar fight up, which is weird because he was already a atg before that.

    Got to agree , although Toney has ludicrous natural talent , i dont see why gets a pass for pissing it away.

    beat the locals for 10 years, oh wow he beat robin reid, he must be an all time great. Then finishes it off with a split decision over geriatric hopkins like its supposed to mean something and waits until RJJ has been KOed several times by braver men than himself to finally face him.

    For those first ten years he went virtually unmentioned in UK press.

    Everyone was cheering for Robin Reid during their fight. He was by far the more popular fighter in UK

    Everyone said he would lose against Lacy.

    He gets shat on by the majority of boxing fans, unlike Hatton who seems to get hero worshipped.

    How is he overrated exactly? :think

    i agree: for a decade he went underrated. then completely meaningless wins over jones and hopkins have catapulted him to legendary status. very good fighter and best 168 pounder ever based on legacy. nothing else
