ooohhhh damn tough one. Roy Jones is a slightly better analyst, but Tarver is more articulate. I prefer Roy, but I think Tarver is great too
Tarver is much better. Jones is okay, but Tarver is really good on the mic. Tarver sounds very polished almost like a professional announcer.
Jones always roots for the black guy in a fight mother****er just cant be impartial he was all over Mike Jones **** in the telecast the other night vs Karras, just pay attention he will always be partial to the brother in the fight and its irritating, racist *****.
They're both very good and very entertaining. Jones knows his boxing a lot better though. He's the best at bringing out the little details that most people don't see when commentating on a fight.
In my opinion Jones was probably the best analyst HBO had. He had great insight and could often predict exactly how certain fights, even rounds where going to playout. He also elaborated on his point of views as opposed to Foreman who often just spoke out of his ass.
Jones looked good that night. Its unfair to call Jones racist. Especially when he was given big props to all of the mexican greats.
