That isn't all together true to my knowledge he didn't make any excuses with the Jones Jr loss, who to this day is the only fighter to ever beat Hopkins convincingly. All of Hopkins other defeats have been close and if the fans can't agree on the scoring of his fights with Taylor, Calzaghe and Pascal it's no surprise that from his perspective he thinks he was robbed.

It is also a trait of many great fighters to make excuses, I guess the inability to except defeat is possibly a part of what makes a great fighter.

I don't think Hopkins did enough to win the titles.

So absolutely schooling a fighter is not considered enough?

Sure the scorecards were close but you cant possible score both knockdown rounds as 10-8, Nard was winning them.

cant believe how pathetic pascal was in this fight

watched it 2 nights ago and he fought like a ***** and just swung for the fences like twice a round and did nothing else

bernard 3 years ago stops him if he tries to

Judges always score a round with a ko 10-8. At least 95% of the time. Is it a bad thing just because Bernard Hopkins is involved?

Pascal is a 28 year old mediocre title holder in a mediocre division, who can't really separate himself from a 46 year old Hopkins performing at 50 percent of where he once was.

Pascal is right. Hopkins doesn't do enough and then cries about it after its over, he lost to Calzaghe and Taylor and never stopped bitching about it. Everyone pretends that he deserves the decision simply because he's old and he was in the other guys home town. This was no schooling, he was in an even fight that was scored even, you're soiling the word "robbery". Examples of robberies include Chavez vs. Whitaker, Holyfeild vs. Lewis and Cintron vs. Martinez.
