Well looks like Rusty nails was right....I forgot about that result...I guess the only people following the game over here will be the fans of the side that won the aussie flag.

 

not really but my team is in it this year so i might watch it.

 

TBH ... i cant see the Dragons even getting close to Wigan this year ... Wigan look exceptionally strong and have home advantage , the blighty weather and they look match hardenened ! ... I could have given the Dragons more of a case if they had played a warm up ..
Gonna be tough for the Dragons ..

 

This years Dragons outfit is not as good as last yrs with Costigan and Smith gone. Hopefully Wigan blindside Soward and take him out for the season :smoke

It's not promoted very well, and due to the timing of it, it's more or less viewed as an important trial.

I'd like to see this game played mid season when both sides can be at their best. I'd also like to see perhaps the top 4 of each league play off against each other to determine 2 finalists prior to the WCC.
I believe there both leagues shouldnt be so isolated, adn there should be more games played between the two leagues.

Years ago the Aussie Super League started a Champions League type of tournament and the Aussie teams were way too classy. The gap has been bridges though, and it could well tap into a good market for the code.

 

Im also interested to see how the English Leagues State of Origin goes.

Best of the Expats v Best of the Home Grown is my understanding?!?

That will help lift the game over there.

 

Yeah I rememberthat tournament, it wasn't competitive and lost a lot of money. I agree there should be more sides involved. Get 4 sides from each league and get it played during mid season with games in Australia and the UK. Shame Brett finch ain't fit for this as his a quality player.

Just seen some dragon players interviewed and they seem well up for this.
