If Holmes at his best fought the Frazier of the FOTC, Frazier would have beaten Holmes like he beat Ali. Probably by a 15 round decision punctuated by a couple of late round knockdowns. Prime Frazier would have taken punishmen from Holmes, but would have given Holmes pure hell in the process.

Unless he's coming off some sort off a layoff,Holmes would thoroughly beat Frazier.Holmes simply has too much in his arsenal for someone as limited as Frazier.Too strong a jab;too varied an offense.Frazier would have tremendous difficulty in evading Holmes jab - and even if he did every now and then,Holmes would have something - like a well-placed uppercut to follow up on it.

Holmes was a tough guy,a well conditioned athlete capable of fighting over the long haul at a tremendous pace - he could take a few body blows. The man wasn't a complete novice at fighting off the ropes effectively, and he was really a fantastic body puncher, also.

    Larry Holmes,yeah - guy's too versatile.

As I mentioned in an earlier post,I'm confident that Frazier would take this over the 15 round route. Holmes may sneak it if the bout's scheduled for 12.

If we're talking prime Holmes,I think that the Ali of 1972 - '74 would beat him.

I think Joe was too much for any boxer type on the form he showed in the FOTC.

I like Frazier in this match up ... Holmes would not keep up the pace or absorb the punishment over 15 ... a great fight but Joe wins down the stretch ...

    Manila Ali too I think

  15. Any version of
"CLAY" loses to Holmes. I thought he proved ,
to ya ****s, that Holmes is too, techically sound,
and Clay, too technically unsound , to beat Holmes .
