Thank you for posting this Achilles.:good I found this vid very telling how a showdown between these two would play out. I would expect a real contest to be very close considering each fighters strengths. I have never seen this or any vids of machida and aderson sparring before, I like both of these fighters very much and would love to see more.
i know theyre friends but i got the sense form that video that theyre REAL good friends. Machida looked strong too.
He'd be the fave but I don't think it would be a given Anderson like aggressive fighters lyoto would be a nightmare for him!
machida could get the fight to the ground. hard to say what would happen but I would doubt Anderson being a teamate of Machida could surprise lyoto with a submission and finnish. I find this fight very interesting, it will never happen but with so little sparring footage its hard to say who has the edge in the standup. I personally think it would be anderson, but machida could make the difference with the kicks and maybe the foot sweeps that he likes to pull.
Damn that would have been a good fight. It suck that a lot of the good fighters had to be training partner. I would have loved to see some of them fight each other. Wanderlei Silva vs Shogun Rua would have been an awesome match up in pride.

:nono Anderson likes a chess game were his superior striking technique gives him the edge.... thats why I pick Shogun to beat Silva, the fast paced controlled aggression
