Basically the Tyson in 87 vs The Ali who fought Liston.

    Who would win?

In my opinion both at there best.

Depends on how patient Tyson would be. He'd certainly work the body and cut the ring more than Liston did, and this is key. I think Tyson could gradually break Ali down and get a late stoppage or decision win. Notice that I said Tyson could do these things. Would he? I'm not sure. But he has the ability to beat Ali.

I think Ali would KO him or make him quit. Ali would take this fight as serious as he did Liston 1. By that I mean he would be extreme cautious of every single punch that Tyson throws, and he would make sure that he was always out of range of Tysons punches. Tyson had great speed coming in and using head movement, but lateral movement hurts his speed, because his style is not the best for turning the entire body left or right.

I would give Tunney the nod for the same reasons

is not matter how tyson would fight, patient or not , ali would win always. prime tyson could not ko tillis, green, tucker or smith. ali was better than them in every department. faster, more accurate, more stamina, better footwork, more heart, better skill, more confidence, much faster hands, much better chin... ali would win tyson by ud or late tko. ali would fight to hurt, beat and possibly to stop tyson. not to survive like these kids.ali would destroy tyson mentally before of the fight.of course a prime tyson had the style to give problems to prime ali,and prime ali had the style to give the hell to tyson, but ali was much stronger mentally, and he would do it much better than tillis ,green or tucker . and all them were competent against prime tyson.
yes i know , i know, the tyson fans will say , tyson was not in his prime against tillis, he did not train against smith because he did travel to the beach, he was not in his prime against tucker because he did eat icecream before of the fight..

ali would do it better than green.
i am waiting to the tysonfan saying the bull**** " frazier did beat ali so tyson would beat ali as well" ali was not in his prime against frazier, and frazier was not tyson, the pressure style, the stamina ,the left hook and the courage of frazier would give more problems to ali than tyson would do.

Ali never faced anyone who could match his quickness, and never faced anyone who could throw as many punches in one burst as Tyson.
Tyson could certainly win this fight.

Tyson could be discouraged quickly when things werent working out, and did accept the clinch, even at his best, so I can see Ali, even when he had the legs to dance, using the style he used later in his career, of straight jabs, 1/2s and tie Tyson up, then push him back.
Ali wins the fight if he adopts this style.

If he tries to dance away from Tyson, hes giving Tyson the gap which he was so good at closing quickly and exploding.
Ali was vulnerable to the left hook, young Tysons best shot IMO.
Give Tyson range, Ali's in for a horrible night.

In my view,Tyson was hitting his best in '87,but Clay (as was,at this point) had n't quite reached his own best. Ali v Tyson scenarios have been brought up by many posters in recent months, myself being one of them, and why not ? I stick to my guns on the outcome. Both men had extraordinary, albeit different skills,so this bout would be decided on INNER CORE toughness,of which Ali had more than Tyson. Clay/Ali by convincing, but hard fought decision.

ur an idiot thats like saying ali didnt knock out people like jimmy young or whatever you dont have to knock everybody out to win the fight the thing is ali was much easier to knock down pre-exile and i think actually no i know that tyson would knock him out.

tyson hoooooook:rasta what a clown

it is a factor in this match .ali was a stylist, he had other style, tyson was a puncher, if he can´t knock ali out, ali would win by decision or tko for sure. i can´t see tyson winning by decision this fight.

I mean't like his best fight. In my opinion it was against Liston in 64. He was so fast and slippery.

ali 66 was a man, ali 64 was a boy, ali 66 was stronger physically and he was as fast as he was in 1964. he had more experience, and stronger mentally, ali 66 was better, no doubt.
