yup, I just checked on wiki and boxrec, he is born in philly and is a phillipino.

so, if timmy gets beaten by khan and mayweather retires or never ends his endless vacation than for the first time in boxing history there will be a p4p list without us americans, unbelievable.

What do you call American citizens?

You won't have to source the Ring to find the answer.

(If you can't find it on google, hint: you call American citizens, Americans)

No he isn't. You don't get bonus points for age.

    It isn't (pound 4 pound)*age.

LOL at americans trying to claim the FILIPINO flash when hes on a roll, typical, the guy has never mentioned the states or seen with an american flag or anything like that around his fights, plus he was born and grew up in the philippines (which is the most important part!)

and bty bute is not canadian, abraham is not german etc etc

Why did he try to represent America in the Olympics and not the PI?

Why does he currently live in the U.S and not in the PI?

Why does he claim citizenship in the US?

Bute isnt canadian but is claimed by them as one of their own. Same with the likes of Abraham in Germany and Tszyu in Australia and Hamed in the UK.

There is such a thing as dual-citizenship you know.

Hes trying to further his life and his career, just like bute and abraham and the rest of them are trying to do, but hes still a filipino living in the states, his children will be american of filipino descent. Some canadians like to claim lennox lewis as canadian but hes not simply because he was born and grew up in britain. It pretty obvious what donaire sees himself as, you obviouly think you know more than he does.

Your the moron, hes the filipino flash you idiot not the oakland flash :rofl,

He was born and grew up in the philippines, its pretty obvious to anyone who watches his fights where hes from, he has to make choices to better his life but you cant change someones nationality, he may become an american citizen but hes still a filipino, why dont you ask him youself, ive heard him intervied about it plenty of times, have you not?

If you're Filipino then Im embarrassed to call myself one too.

The fact is Donaire is only raising that Filipino flag behind him is to appeal to the hot boxing Filipino market by riding on Pacquiao's fanbase coattails. He spent more of his life in America than he did in the PI. Donaire has said it himself that he is a Filipino-AMERICAN.

    Is Pacquiao Filipino-American?

    ...exactly

He also grew up in America for the 2nd half of his childhood. Why do you keep leaving that part out?
