The first head butt didnt land till round 4. Ward was already owning the fight by then. The first REAL headbutt didnt occur till round 9. The fight was over by then.

You're a fool if you believe that Kessler lost because of headbutts.

    Let me guess Calzaghe fan?

    lol, euro-***s

anyhow, if you CLOSELY analyze the Ward/Kessler fight, each one was an accidental headbutt according to each fighter's fightstyle. In fact, one incident was more caused by Kessler than Ward. Ward looks like he's savvy enuf and have the wherewithall to turn his head to prevent a cut when he anticipates a potential head clash.

There is one incident that Ward does lead in with his head recklessly (the billygoat one), but was totally avoidable by Kessler, but instead dropped his own head to that side.....

If Ward boxes a Miranda type fight, which I think he will because he's clever enough to note his opponents strengths and weaknesses, it will be extremely difficult for Froch to do anything of note. His feet and hands are slow.

I am beginning to fancy Johnson to possibly edge out Froch.

That quote is funny. My children know where to bump their heads when they play. Ward could also ask a 6 years old soccer player. Where is the strongest point on the head? I guess he doesn't like to be called dirty and he may pay attention in his next fights. That's all that matters.

Another funny quote: I've been at home only 4 times. Any US city is home for Ward. What does he think? That fighting Froch in Vegas will be counted as fighting abroad for him? :rofl

im assuming fighting at home for him is in reference as fighting at his "hometown". This is an issue you brought up. "Home" or "Hometown" is referenced to a person's or team's residence. I dont think Ward considers Las Vegas as home, as Froch wouldnt consider anywhere else on his island besides his residence as "home" either....

wards had it easy in this tounrie.stayed at home all the time.

kesller looked like crap and barely did anything in thier fight.

green isnt good at all, johnson dispatched him in better style.

bika wasnt technically tough, and ward still got sucked into bikas fight, barely winning.

and next hes got froch's scraps. atleast abraham is dangerous, this is his last chance, abraham will be looking to blast wards head of for 12 rounds.

Froch can beat ward, johnson is the tougher fight tbh.

Froch knows how to fight a slick fighter,he fought dirrell when dirrell was being too slick to win a title away from home.

froch has improved hos own balance and movmement.

he will stick to using a game plan now,and if needed can chase close down and blast with straights and right hands.

ward wont have the power to stop froch from coming forward.

froch can stay out of range that stops ward being able to jump in quite so easy, froch can set the pace, dominate with the jab and straight punches, wear both ward and johnson down with body punching, and show his desire to hurt his opponent.

Andre Ward has talent. There's a reason why he hasnt lost since he was a kid. I despise his style, I really do... and I honestly dont understand how the referee's can allow his inside "bullying". But having said that, he's got talent, charisma, good skills, and I dont see him losing to anyone at 168 or 175.

Honestly Froch was AWFUL against Direll, I thought Carl would muller him after seeing how much dirrell didnt like to fight on youtube, but i though Carl was made to look like a bar room brawler, barely landing a punch all night, I know Dirrell fought like a coward, but within the rules of boxing, he completley outboxed froch.

the fear is that ward can excecute the same type of fight if he wants too, and i doubt carl has learned to nullify that kind of style

Froch will struggle with Johnson for sure. Froch has never faced that type of fighter in his whole career which is something to consider. Johnson will not be discouraged as Abraham was. Johnson is accustomed to being outranged, his problem is the same he faces in every single fight virtually. Whereas when Johnson does start to work Froch is going to have to find some new answers.

Personally i think Carl is going to have an easy night with Glen, and im expecting "age caught up with glen" to be shouted from the rooftops.

Glen will come to fight, which is good for froch

I'd favour Ward but Froch has a decent chance. I think Froch needs to turn it into a brawl. Rough him up as much as possible.

Everyone was going on about Glen's age before he fought Dawson the first time. And Green. And well, pretty much every fight over the last 5 years. He looked well enough to me last time out. He's seen better days obviously, nobody is in their prime past 40 years of age, but I don't see age suddenly being the deciding factor all of a sudden when he was sharp enough to overcome Green's enthusiasm and handspeed initially and start to take over the fight before KOing him.

It's going to be a tough night for Carl. Carl will inevitably try to use similar tactics to the Abraham fight but the difference is Johnson knows how to defend himself and get into range at the same time whereas AA was clueless and stood there doing nothing. Froch's vaunted power will not faze Johnson at all I suspect, it didn't Kessler and I think Johnson has better defence. Up close he could struggle to deal with some of the short punching of Johnson which is something he's never dealt with.

Froch can't brawl or slug to save his life.

He's best boxing with pretty much everyone he faces...... I can see him outboxing Johnson to a 117-111 decision. If he starts trading he may come 2nd.
