    well i pick quarry by tko. quarry was stronger mentally,he was a very fast counter puncher, he had a very good chin, he was great against punchers and tyson post prison was even more weak mentally, he was not as fast as he was in his prime, he did not get great combinations, and he was not as disciplined as he was in his peak. i think that quarry would stop him.:think

    Quarry was good, but watch Tyson in Bruno II & Holyfield I, do you really think Jerry would last very long taking those titanic nukes?

    Tyson's speed would be an early factor but Jerry was solid and never feared punchers because of his solid chin. Quarry beat a lot of BIG slow punchers but was troubled by Frazier...still a few intangibles gives him a shot against Tyson especially after the 4th -7th rd...Mike got discouraged...I favor Tyson but no way would I count Jerry out

    yes, he would do, he took shots from foreman in the sparring session and he took shots from shavers. They both harder punchers than tyson, quarry would literally destroy bruno LIKE HE DID WITH SHAVERS, and he would give the hell to any version of evander.

    @combatesboxeo: Sparring & a one-round blowout? Great examples. :lol:

    sparring or not, foreman did hit harder than tyson, foreman destroyed his sparring partners, quarry took shots from shavers early, so he would take the shots from this version of tyson as well. in my opinion.

    but yes you can put 100 faces of laugh, your comment will be better :)

    I love Quarry but I really doubt Quarry could stand toe to toe with Tyson. Countering from a distance would be the only winnable scenerio for Quarry and I still see Tyson tracking him down and stopping him regardless by cuts or flat out knockout
    Tyson at that stage was like a much faster more explosive Shavers. Quarry gets stopped here

    Good post.

    Tyson also has the chin & durability to take Quarry's best & keep coming forward, unlike Shavers.

    That's true. Tyson would eat Quarrys counters like candy, Quarry might be able to take some Tyson shots early on but he wont take them consistently throughout the fight

    I don't know about that, since Holyfield was able to rock Tyson to his boots with counters, but Tyson does have all the physical advantages here. Jerry would probably need to go on the Holyfield diet in order to win.

    That was later on when Tyson was gassed, everyone is significantly easier to hurt when exhausted.
