I understand but for us fans, home is in our country. Everywhere in Great Britain is Froch's home, anywhere in Canada is Bute's home (even if he's Romanian). When Kessler fought Froch in Denmark, it was a fight at home even if it was not his hometown.

This quote from Ward is not his best one.

Las Vegas might be considered neutral in Ward's case, I truly believe that (style that makes you barf, no significant fanbase outside of the Bay), but no ****in way does San Jose NOT count as home for him. Holy jesus****inchrist SOG, get your **** together. California is almost considered a country in his case (re: Las Vegas being neutral), so Ward fighting in Cali is more less the same as Bute fighting in Toronto, Froch in Belfast, Kessler in some Danish town that's not Copenhagen and AA in Stuttgart. That's home if you consider where your opponent's from.

Guy is boring as hell and he is being babied into the p4p ranks. He does take on tough fighters but he has had all the advantages so far. Its hard to like a guy who is being handed super stardom on a silver platter.

'07 Bute and '10 Ward against Bika - vids
    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=282755

In round 12 of Ward-Bika, after Bika rocks him with THREE decent rights on the INSIDE, he SMILES at back him and transfers weight to his head by leaning onto Bika left EYE SOCKET, and Bika gets Kessler-blind for a sec at just under 1 min left in the fight.

"What a motherless mother****er", thinks Bika.

You do it quite well actually andre, by bending down moving forward and striking your opponent with you forehead, impacting your opponents face, practice makes perfect and you got that one nailed!!

    Agreed.

I agree to an extent, but in the US it is somewhat different. Alot depends on who the opponent is and where the fight is held. If Ward/Bute happened at MSG who do you think would have more fans? I think hometown adv vs homeland adv is a bit different in the US.

    Wrong.

People who like exciting fighters who don't wrestle and foul their way to victory don't like him either.

**** the haters Andre. Fight where you want to. They just want to get you away from home so they can rob you like they did Pernell Whitaker when he first fought Jose Luis Ramirez.

In the interview, Ward also says that he's not sure anymore if he would fight Bute, if he wins the super 6. He says that while the super 6 fighters have tought fights, Bute is taking an easy path.

It's funny because Ward is the super 6 fighter with the easiest road: an injured Kessler, Allan Green and Sakio Bika as a tune up. Is he that delusional about himself?

Froch has faced Dirrell, Kessler and Abraham. That's a tough path.
