It leaves the canvas every time he throws an overhand right, looks amateurish and he's off balance so often it was painful to watch. I'm no student of the game but surely he's neglecting some serious fundamentals to be that sloppy that often? Anyone else notice this?
Foster had a decent amateur pedigree, won the Novices and Senior ABA's in the same season I think...:think He is dead at the weight and has been made to look very ordinary by an ordinary opponent...:yep Time for a re-think, move up or move on...:yep
I remember sparring after a 2 mile run as a 12 year old. I was ****ing shocking my legs were gone cos i was a **** runner back then. I had no snap in shots, forced everything and with tiredness and frustration comes sloppyness. So could only imagine what it's like to have a virus. What a heart the kid had though let's not forget the amount of times he went down and got back up.
No definitely - heart was ****ing big in there tonight, guess the virus played a bigger part than I'm thinking - just thought he looked terribly off balance from the start. never seen him fight and thought he looked lacking in fundamentals for a european champion. maybe his inner ear was scrambled and all sorts. cheers
Nah my dad said what you said. I saw what you and him are saying. He was doing it early doors. What pissed me off was his shoulder roll. He just looked sloppy in every area.
Don't get me started on that shoulder roll his defence was awful tonight it he made it easy for the Belgian to batter in the body shots. He seemed perfectly happy to lazily lean against the ropes and occasionally turn his body half heartedly very poor
i was screaming at the TV because of that shoulder role is the worst i have ever seen then he bends down so he cant even see the punches coming. he showed alot of heart tho every time he got up he steamed right back in
one thing that might have saved foster was HOLDING he never did it once when in trouble , it could have saved him points
Never really planted his feet and got carried away when he landed one shot. Hope he can bounce back but needs to work on that definitely.
Basically guys Foster shouldn't of been in the ring tonight, he was ill and there was talk of him being withdrawn earlier in the week but as I'm sure you're all aware it's not that simple. Foster had nothing left in the tank from round 3 and that wasn't the Steve Foster I know in the ring tonight.
He's lucky he wasn't in there with a dangerous puncher tbh. It could of been very very serious if he was. I never like fighters going into ring off back off illness but i damn well respect there courage!!! I hope he comes back from this.
