I know its struggling in the US and the UK (even though Donaire-Montiel got a full page article in a major newspaper today), but its thriving in other parts of the world (especially Philllipines and Germany).

As a world sport, how many others are above it? It is one of the most followed sports online and the biggest stars still earn more than the MMA guys.

Yes i think it still is in top 10 but its fading away cuz they dont market boxing the same way as they use to anymore.
If they marketed it like fotball(soccer) then it would be bigger

They don't just top MMA guys, they top every other sport but golf, which is a rich man sport.

Floyd came in at 2nd place right behind Tiger Woods. Very good when considering that he's the star of a "dying" sport.

Compared to the days of Bruno, Benn, Eubank and Hamed it is struggling. Its not on network TV and, outside of the odd marquee fight, its not really in the papers. Its not at the US level (nowhere near) but it is going slowly downhill.

Apart from Football, what else is there above boxing in Mexico? Is boxing still BIG or is it just the memories of Chavez, Morales and Barrera?

Mate you don't have an understanding of Boxing markets. The process from Terrestrial>Cable>Subscription>PPV did not happen till SKY became a big player, in the early 90's Boxing was on the BBC but the nature of the sport was suited to a move to SKY, which means more money but less viewers (strange one that)

But, even when Boxing does make a ITV apperance, it does big numbers. Think back to Froch vs Pascal or Khans fights.

Im not saying boxing is in a bad way in the UK, Im saying its not the same (so therefore it is struggling). We are producing quality boxers and Khan and Haye are still big bisuness. It is not as big as it was. Simple as.

Sadly they are pre-occupied with MMA. Brazil could be a major player in the boxing game. :-(
