I thought Acosta was going to lay him out at the end of the third round I think when he just started cracking the **** out of Rios and he looked like a bobble head. Rios just laughed it off though, that was some crazy ****.

 

He really is miniature Margarito, right down to the chin. :nod

 

Hmm once he started backing up and Acosta had him on the ropes I pretty much thought he was going to go but the guy showed some great heart. And **** he knew what to do to keep him in the fight once his head cleared too. Just keep his gaurd up for the rest of the round and went right back to pressure even if he wasn't throwing too many shots. That right there is what won him the fight. He backs off for the rest of that round, acosta has a breather and they go right back to square one. Thats the type of **** thats hard to teach.

 

I don't know what that means, but i can't believe there was an attempt by a RBR thread that dared to challenge yours with its primitive skills.

 

That was in VERY bad taste. I hope Rios doesn't face a Roach fighter because he's going to get demolished.

 

Yeah, he is kind of a dick.

 

It's only been an hour, so it will probably be a while before updates on Acosta's condition (after getting stretchered away for brain scans) - but keep your eyes peeled. That is potentially scary stuff.

Those last few right hands he got drilled with as he was slumping into the corner could each have scored knockouts on their own.

 

I won't root for him, but i certainly respect what he brings into the ring, which now includes one of those belt thingies.

 

Seemed o.k. enough to give a post-fight interview, so obviously they weren't too concerned at the time.

 

Something must have happened afterward to give cause for concern. :conf
