Told you guys. At most he is a B+ fighter. Did you see how he moved? And you call that a boxer??? He moved like Baby Joe Messi! :happy Now is that quality for you??!!!:happy If you be objective here, you credit Acosta for having pinpoint accuracy but possessing Ivan Calderon power. I hope some trainers put emphasis on the power of one's punches not just the Gayweather or the GayRigondoux in them. That is why you have the likes of Manny Pacquiao. Wow now Brandon Rios is truly elite!!! :yep
Rios is a killer... with limited athletic ability! He knocked the better athlete clean the **** out.. With his will and his heart!
I know, because the other did not train for power...or never had it in his arsenal to start with. He was actually moving almost like Floyd....too bad his punching power was like Floyd's too. :good
i agree... at MOST he can be considered as a B+ fighter i'll consider him to be A talent when he fights an A caliber fighter and wins.... not saying he couldnt win, but he'll need to continue to prove himself vs better competition....
Acosta has decent power.. he was boxing beautifully for the first 5 rounds! I was worried.. I thought my boy was going to get sparked tonight! I learned alot about brandon rios tonight.. He has an iron chin and an iron will! :good
Ah here is where we disagree. You put emphasis on iron chin while I put emphasis on the punch. To box is to punch. If a boxer keeps on hitting an opponent who is in the same weight category and the opponent does NOT get affected then I question the puncher choosing boxing as his career.
lol, thought i was gonna have to eat my words too... Acosta proved to be a B caliber fighter himself.... he got suckered into thinking that he could beat Rios in his own strength. For the most part, Acosta WAS winning in the pocket. But thats when you give a Puncher the "Puncher's Chance" dice roll, OVER AND OVER.... Each KD was from exchanges in the pocket.....
That's b3cause rios kept bringing the fight to Acosta, and acosta ran the whole time he finally got tires physically and had to try and stop him by slugging it out as boxing him wasn't penetrating his granite chin.... Lose lose, whatever he would have done. Rios is a bad ass.
Wow kinda like what's gonna happen when Floyd meets Pac, right?? Oh what am i saying??!! Rios is NOT even worthy to be mentioned alongside the congressman. Puhhhleeeaze! :deal
Pac is not pressure fighter the way rios is. Pac is more of a very agrresive boxer puncher... If Pac was a pressure fighter when he fought JMM he would have always been on him but no he tried to box... because pac is a boxer puncher.
