I'm a fan of Rios but he was getting his ass kicked by Acosta, Acosta is precise and powerful, i can't believe i've never seen him before, he has skills!

He even managed hurt/stun rios a couple of times!

    hmm...

Rios was packing on the pressure from round 1.

I didn't see that Rios was getting his ass kicked at all. In fact apart from round 4, I felt Rios had the upper hand even in certain rounds he was losing. He was making Acosta expend a shitload of energy, catching alot of punches on his guard, landing a couple of good shots, and really taking Acosta's shots well.

Acosta fought hard and well, hes not getting enough praise for making the fight so competitive. The fight was 1000 times better than Bradley vs Alexander

are you blind!?! first four round acosta was battering him, yer rios was coming forward but i think it was the 4th round where rios just took a beating, some sites gave that round a 10-8 to acosta, rios was pushing back for a second

i agree that acosta probably used all his energy in the first 5 round because rios took everything he had

I actually said in my post "apart from round 4". sounds like you might be the one that's blind.

and first round was a clear Rios round.

    Acosta was indeed very impressive..

To everyone who is blinded by the result.

Just imagine you fighting in a ring, and a mofo wont stop coming no matter how hard you hit the sob...

    Thats scary dude...

Acosta fought really good last night.. and 8 more mins he would have still been the Champion, although 8 mins feels like an eternity in a boxing ring..

Great fight, Acosta was great for the first half of the fight but he seems unable to take a punch. Rios KD'ed him with Jab and from that point on was pretty much in control.

Props to Rios as I began to doubt him after round 4. And I was really impressed with Acosta.

Acosta would have beat a lot of people last night, probably even KO'd them. Just not Bam Bam.

    Cotto/Margarito....

Acosta has a good movement and is somewhat an accurate puncher. But he needs to pack more power in those punches and develop his conditioning more. He could have stopped Rios in round 4 if he had more power. On the 5th round, Rios is not bothered anymore by the punches of Acosta. He is gassing out in the 5th round and that is the start of his demise.

acosta does have power, rios has never been stunned like that, plus acosta was the first man ever to stop urbano antillon and if i remember correctly he has something like 22 kos out of 27 fights.

He does have power but he needs more power so that he can dent iron chinned guys like Rios. Margo has iron chin but look at what Pac has done to his face. That is what Acosta is supposed to have done to Rios' face.
