Clottey being an African, should be a big name in Africa. I'm sure Arum would be more than willing to make that happen if that what it takes to get him closer to Pac vs Floyd

    I'm going with Cotto.

Floyd has only fought fought guys with a name who just came off good wins in recent years.

    Oscar - just KO'd Mayorga
    Hatton - just KO'd Castillo
    Marquez - just KO'd Diaz
Mosley - just KO'd marg or pulled off the upset of his life
Cotto - will probably come off two consecutive KO victories. I think he can KO Mayorga

Remember when Floyd and Cotto had a secret meet up last year in puerto rico during Floyd's "vacation"? It was some black market ****, Cotto's LAWYER even said he couldn't give any of the details.

What does Top Rank have left to offer Cotto besides a rematch with marg? Cotto is a smart guy, fighting $ in Africa is a much larger check than fighting that burrito eater. It's not like Cotto can't do a buyout the same way Floyd did.

    Take Cotto off the list

even though I would love to see this fight, its not gonna happen

Arum wants to set up Cotto/Marg 2 even though Cotto isnt intersted in that rematch because he thinks Marg should be outlawed from boxing

My vote goes to Berto because it would be the easiest fight to make

Fighting Floyd is a way bigger check than rematching marg. Top Rank doesn't have much left to offer Cotto. It's not like Cotto can't buyout.

Ali Funeka. I would love for him to fight Maidana.

Nobody, he'll fight somebody like Spadafora or Cotto in the US. Martinez or Alvarez would be a ****ing nightmare match-up purely because of the size and freshness of both fighters.

Martinez isn't tuneup material for anyone at this stage of his career. Alvarez is too green and slow for any of the elites.

True. But in that case he shouldn't be a choice in the poll. Alvarez is too green to fight PBF, again it's the size. Alvarez is a very young, still growing/developing light-middleweight. PBF would have his hands full, skillwise, there isn't no comparison P4P in terms of skill. :rasta

I'm a big Clottey fan. I know a dude from Ghana who said Clottey and Quartey are huge there. He was actually a decent boxer even though he had never actually competed and didn't really like it, just because fighting is such a big deal in Accra.

I know Floyd usually doesn't care about being "exciting", but this would be the first time he's fighting overseas. Could he really give anyone a show by fighting The Great Ghana Joshua Clottey?

When I first heard Africa, I thought of Clottey. However, Clottey is a no-win situation. It'd be a boring fight, and after Clottey stunk up the joint against Pac, casual fans may not want to see it. Also, *******s would scream from the rooftops that Floyd was getting Pussyao's sloppy seconds. My pick would be Berto. He's not Top Rank. He has a belt, and he wants money.

    None of the above...
But Clottey seems like a possibility.
(Depends if you can find him tho?)
