Well he's got a lot smarter in fights these days.. You can tell he does a lot more thinking these days and isn't the same kind of destroyer he use to try and be.. But that probably comes from knowing that with these bigger guys he can't and shouldn't be absorbing the same kind of punishment he once did..

I also think he takes more advantage of his natural athleticism these days.. But of course the three great Mexicans have something to do with it.. Not only their talent but the wisdom and experience he gained from having EIGHT fights with those Legends..

you must have made good money on that one. fact is that a former flyweight is ripping the welterweight division. Thats impressive regardless if you disagree with the matchmaking. Floyd is the only one from 147 and below that would have a good shot beating him. No worries though pac will retire in a few years then its all over.

I'm reticent to believe this. Honestly most people got laughed at for even speculating about matches between Pacquiao and Oscar, Hatton, Floyd, Cotto, and Margarito only 2-3 years back. You're a clairvoyant little **** if you picked him over those dudes, because the consensus was that all of them would pack his **** in.

I know Marquez had losses in his career ... but until that first round with Pac I barely had him losing a round in his whole career (watched all his fights since like the 8th one back to back). Admittedly he was not fighting the likes of Barrera and Morales or Hamed, but I thought he clearly beat Norwood, who refused to engage, and in the two title fights he had after that (going YEARS as a number one mandatory) he had easy victories, unifying the titles in only two fights.

That first round with Pac was one of the first rounds in his career he clearly lost. He did slip just a tiny tiny bit since then, but I still felt Pac did enough to win that first fight against another ATG. Pac was a great fighter by the time he fought Ledwaba and became even greater after the Larios fight, a steady increase in skill. I think his absolute most prime performance is against Cotto, and from here it will be a gradual decline.

JMM is no joke, and neither is Pac.

Its one of the reasons why people were saying prior to the pacquiao cotto fight that it was 50/50 in that cotto new how to box and would give pacquiao similar problems to marquez. There are still boxing prediction vids out there. Also i dont actually believes manny's power has increased all that much. He always had great power. JMM could still take him at 147.

JMM had something like a 14 week training camp for his second fight against Pac. And also, counterpunchers like JMM usually do better in rematches than in the fight because they already know the rhythm of their opponent.

I thought both Pac and JMM put in a better performance in the rematch than in their first encounter.

How anyone can say that either of them looked ordinary in that fight kind of shows just how ridiculous some of these so-called boxing fans are.

I can see how people would pick pac over oscar based on age and dehydration, as well as recent performances. I'm talking more about the rest. Cotto?

I picked Pac over Cotto easily. Just had to watch Cotto vs Judah to see the kind of mistakes that he was making, that if Marquez had been making those same mistakes Pacquiao would've starched him.

The only question was if Pac's power would be enough to hurt Cotto, which it turned out to be more than enough.

You crazy man. Pac has so much skills without popping pills. A video doesnt take away the fact that Pac has 8 division titles and the best right hook of all time man.

Cotto does not deal with speed all that great and he is so damn flat footed. I had my reasons for picking Manny over Cotto. Wasn't concerned about the size bc punches hurt and Manny hits just hard enough to hurt a bigger man, plus add the speed of the punch and it hurts much more.

no way, cotto wins this and he beats margarito as well, its the step after that what im worried about, if he faces martinez,floyd.pac2 he loses. If on the other hand he fights chavez jr or canelo I will give him a good shot and thats the path he shoudl try to take.
