doubt it, but i would love to see him take the belt from vitali. although he's probably got a mad rematch clause..... anyone know the details on that?

I don't think so. I think Vitali was pissed that he didn't get the KO or TKO against Briggs, and I think he'll make Solis pay. :D

This is what Solis will be seeing March 19th

I think Solis might be getting a little underrated going into this. Yes, he's overweight. Yes, his last performance against austin wasn't terribly impressive. However, I think Solis has enough going for him to make things at least a little interesting. He's the youngest guy Vitali has fought in awhile, he's undefeated, he's got a great amateur pedigree. as a pro... well, we'll see what he's made of in March. I'm looking forward to the fight.

However, my gut tells me that Vitali is going to stop him by accumulation. That's basically what he does every time.

Why would you want a guy who doesn't even like boxing be the heavyweight champ? To me, it seems like Solis just doesn't care. He will lose.

Kudos to Vitali taking on the third strongest heavyweight in the division, but despite my enormous respect for Klitchko, I don't think Solis is going down. Vitali is 40, war worn and carries over multiple injuries from years of kickboxing and boxing career. Solis is a young, Very hungry (mainly for junk food, but still), undefeated CUBAN (this says a lot) with a fantastic amateur pedigree and a fairly good chin/punch. Skill wise, Solis is head and shoulders above the rest of the division. Unfortunately, he is also a few feet wider than the rest of the division in the waist area...

Anyhow, I expect a methodical UD for the aging champ. Hopefully he can secure a fight with the running man Haye and Valuev and retire then.

Solis will show how much of a contender he is when he faces an old Vitali. Make or break for him.

Right. Well, the arreola fight feels like a lifetime ago, and I've erased the KJ fight from my memory. and sosnowski is only a year older than Solis. whatever, i was just trying to talk up Solis. He's basically screwed, but I wouldn't write him off completely. all i ask is that he shows up to fight.

VK has a lot of holes, I feel that Solis has good chance of beating K if prepared physically and mentally.

I believe it goes all rounds unless corner, ref or doc stops it. I don't see Solis tasting canvas. His high weight might play a favor on going through all rounds but at the same time it might damage his head badly.

UD for Vitali and broken face for Solis.
