id say a bit of both

he of course has improved id say one of the biggest was adding that right hook

but I think he has chosen smart foes too

of course the guys are not soft or crap fighters

but they are exactly what Manny shines against

Its his speed and relentlessnes that has these Welterweights not being able to keep up Pacquiao's pace.

I've been saying since the Morales fights, that though Pacquiao has improved boxistically from his featherweight days.......Pacquiao cant even begin to match x's and o's with a real x's and o's fighter.

Fortunately for Pacquiao, there are very few elite level boxers today in his era.

........you even take a good but not great x and o fighter like Cotto, and you could see that for those first two rounds with Pacquiao when Cotto was patient and wanting to size up Pacquiao to box, Pac looked terrible.

........Pacquiao got into the fight when it became a firefight......but while Pacquiao was at distance early one both boxing, Pacquiao looked very uncomfortable and getting thoroughly outboxed by Cotto.

I'd love to see pac vs marquez. Aside from JMM, PBF and maybe martinez there isnt a real challenge for pac. I want to see him overcome a very good or great counter puncher or boxer.

seen the video he makes some decent points, but disagree. He's not looking hard enough to see the improvements. The big thing is pac ring intelligence and footwork. He thinks in the ring now where-as before he was just set on auto-pilot basically. He knows how to read his opponents and he knows the importance of things like foot placement, and angles. Also his combination punching, and counter-punching has substantially improved since the marquez fight.

Aren't you the guy constantly going on and on about how Pacquiao's accomplishments are "unheard of", when you're trying to justify why he should submit to Floyds blood test??

I have seen you many times talk about how suspicious is that he is tearing through the higher weights, knocking guys out, and doing things NO ONE HAS DONE BEFORE...in fact you have gone as far as to call it probable cause for PED's.

Now you are discrediting all these accomplishments....so which is it??

I mean, after all...if it has been nothing but "leftovers, weight-drained fighters, and camps in turmoil", then there is nothing impressive about it, and no reason to suspect any wrongdoing is there?

They had no problem seeing that SSM after the destructiion of Tony M. was "too good" for Manny at any weight, then after being destroyed by PBF, and not looking good versus Mora, that's he's "good" enough now...

His improvements are more physical than anything else, he's bigger, stronger, and faster than what he should be at his age and in the context of moving weights. That's not to say he's on PED's, I'm simply saying that his physical gifts are far more apparant than his technical expertise. Typically guys who rely on athletism see a decline as they get older and their once great athletic ability erodes even slightly (ie Roy Jones Jr). Manny has retained his athletic ability (in some ways improved upon it), and has went into fights with the legit athletic advantage over every opponent he's faced in recent memory, which overcompensates for most of his technical deficiencies. In theory there's nothing wrong with that, he uses the tools he has available and does so very successfully, but it's the physical tools that he possesses that allow him to flourish...IMO.

As I told before, just look at the way Pacquiao fights against lesser fighters like Solis and Larios and compare it with his fight against better fighter Cotto, you will see that Pacquiao did really improve.

I thought Pac would beat De La Hoya, Clottey, Cotto, and Marg. It is really not that hard to figure out. I didn't know De La Hoya was going to be weight drained but I knew he looked like crap in his last fight and was not the same fighter. Plus I was hearing that he was getting whipped in sparring sessions. I knew he was going to beat Cotto because Cotto can't handle speed. Judah and Mosley were giving him serious problems. Also Cotto can't handle pressure fighters. Also to put icing on the cake Cotto was not the same fighter since Marg. You could tell in his eyes he wasn't. I knew he was going to beat Clottey based on the Marg fight. Clottey isn't a counter puncher. He just waits for you to finish then he will attack. If he got overwhelmed by Marg he was going to get overwhelmed by Pac. Also Clottey has never won a major fight in his career. Marg is overrated out the ass. He has always been garbage to me. No head movement, no footwork, throws wide punches, etc. Easy fight and easy work for Pac tailor made for him. If people honestly thought about the fight they would have known it was going to be easy work.

Careful matchmaking my ass:lol: Why don't go back to before pac fought those boxers and see what the comment was back then.

Delahoya-Would KTFO pacquiao with a left hook
Hatton-first live opponent pac has face since marquez
Cotto-first real welterweight pac has face-cotto would KTFO pac with a body shot

    After
Delahoya was weight drained etc etc
Hatton's punch resistance is gone-not the same since mayweather
Cotto-he's not the same since the margarito fight
