Juan Diaz. Diaz beat Katsidis and put up a better fight against JMM.

We're looking for COMPETITIVE fights. Rios-Diaz at this point is a slaughter. Diaz cant hurt Rios, he cant push him back, and Diaz's punch resistance isnt what it once was.

Bam Bam would be leave him brain dead within 5.

As far as storylines it would be Ortiz by far.

As far as in ring entertainment it would be Maidana vs. Ortiz

    EDIT: Maidana vs. Rios.

Ortiz, they hate each other too so it'd be a nice Morales-Barrera lite.

The ideal Rios fight doesn't even involve Rios?

That rematch would be nice, but I'd rather see either Ortiz or Maidana in with Rios for a fresh look (and for the very reasons you stated). :good

Since then Juan Diaz got a GIFT victory against Malignaggi and then clearly lost to Paulie the second go-round(even getting hurt by the notorious feather fisted one in the process) and then he lost to Marquez again in a wide decision. So in his last 4 fights he could EASILY be 0-4.

Wouldn't like his chances against Rios.

    Victor Ortiz 4 16.00%
    Marcos Rene Maidana 11 44.00%
    Lucas Martin Matthysse 1 4.00%
    Humberto Soto 2 8.00%
    Urbano Antillon 2 8.00%
    Michael Katsidis 10 40.00%
    Juan Manuel Marquez 7 28.00%
    John Molina 0 0%
    Miguel Acosta 1 4.00%
    Other (whom?) 2 8.00%

25 voters in a multiple choice poll, and nobody wants to see Molina get KTFO? :!:

Brandon would be giving up height and reach and perhaps facing his equal in raw power, but would seize the day with his more intelligent pressure and superior skills. It would build from a brutal trench war into a complete one-sided destruction.

Of course, it doesn't interest me quite as much as my actual poll selections...but it's still up there. :yep

    Dont give Berto any ideas.

Andre Berto..... the first welterweight champ in history who's goal is to clean out 140.

Being dropped twice by body shots early in his career, and ADMITTING that Acosta hurt him to the body last night.

Rios vs Katsidis a GUARANTEED NO-FAIL affair.
