    Sotiropolous deserves a higher tier guy but Siver is not a good match up for him and by no means an easy home win.

    Siver is fun to watch an all that, but I'd take Lauzon, Stevenson and Pelligrino over him. His best win is Fisher, and after that he has Winner (who may be out of the UFC now and if he's not it's probably because he's English), Dale Hart (out of the ufc) Nate Mohr (out of the UFC) that Japanese guy (out of the ufc) and Paul Kelly (good but limited grinder). He's also lost to Jess Liudan and any of the other "step up" fights he's had with Guillard, Maynard and Ross Pearson. He is NOT a contender at this point and would need a few decent wins over the types of guys that he's lost to to become one.

    The only way that this makes sense is as an easy win to keep GS busy and let the hometown fans cheer him on.

    Spot on, mate. He is outclassed against Sotiropoulos. I'd say it's safe to bank on the best version of Siver we've seen yet to turn up in Sydney, I'd also say it's unsafe to bank on George losing. This fight is a tune up.
