I agree with everything you said up to this point in the thread. Jones came almost 100 years after Fitzsimmons and there is definitely a gap of talent and everything between that time period. I know some people don't like to believe this but it's easily and realistically true. The sport has evolved, the fighters evolved so much over 100 years, for the better.

Fitzsimmons would get murdered by Roy Jones.

No fighter in the 1800's would even come close to Roy Jones.

Every other sport has evolved...why not boxing and fighting? Of course it has evolved, from the way they throw punches, the way they move etc... It's just stupid how people cant see this.

The sport has changed. Not evolved. Fitz today would get clowned by Jones. Jones back then would get killed by Fitz.

 Ok lets see your scorecard, its hard to give Tarver more than 4rounds. Jones was gassed after a few rounds and clearly done in that fight but still pulled it out, it wasn't close

And no you can't take away wins because you think someone was on steroids

That doesn't make sense, lets just put aside the result a second

If Fitz would get clowned today he'd get clowned 100years ago. If Jones gets sparked 100years ago he gets sparked today. Bigger gloves do not change the result to that degree

Four rounds ? The decision was viewed by the majority of the writers as a gift for Jones. His fall from grace was THE story of the fight. Keep making **** up and hiding behind your icons. You are clueless.

Watch the fight and post your card so we can have a laugh at you, everyone who wasn't a Jones hater had Jones winning. You're pretending to watch a fight you haven't seen He Grant :deal

Note all the Classic posters had Jones winning:

even tarver only gave himself 4 rounds....and he was drunk when he was watching it

(seriously though, i've watched the fight a LOT and being really generous to random workrate and the ability to hit arms, i've even given tarver 5 rounds. there is no scenario where he wins)

Agree. I think I gave Tarver 4 rds, and felt a bit generous in doing so.

Another keyboard jerkoff ... love ***** slapping you turds ... 18,000 posts and knows **** ...so you cherry pick your clips to try and prove a point ? guess Roy wasn't ready for the rematch either when he went out cold ...

Here are the facts ... Jones heavily juiced to fight Ruiz. He came down to fight Tarver, far and away the best light heavy he EVER fought and got a gift decision , looking like **** in the process. He trained with all he had for the rematch and got flattened as his china chin was exposed. He was then destroyed by Johnson, again flattened ... this is the guy you feel beats Dempsey, Marciano, Tunney, Charles , Walcot or Patterson ? Take your head out of your ass loud mouth.

The full version of the fight is 'cherry picked clips' is it moron? Yes picking the fight you pretended to watch and hadn't is cherry picking evidence

Way to change the subject after you lied about watching Jones-Tarver and came up with the ridiculous notion that Jones was anywhere near his prime after the age of 35

    He-Grant = a liar and fraud :yep

Still waiting for the scorecard on this fight you've lied about watching so we can have a good laugh, or do you just want to admit you haven't seen it Fraud Grant? Notied how the whole forum had Jones winning this fight clearly that you're calling a 'robbery'

hegrant being a fraud who doesn't even watch boxing is hardly news.
    :hi:

At any rate, Jones dances circles around old Foreman to become the lineal Champion. Though I doubt Big George would take such a risky fight.

Considering his performance against Ruiz, he would have probably done well against old Holyfield too.
