32 thousand post wasted over one disagreement? ok

btw no i dont really think rios would beat khan but he would certainly put up a great fight but seeing khans style vs rios' style in the past i have a feeling rios would stop him late.

btw you really dont know **** about boxing you mma lover if you thnk maidana is a pressure fighter.

oh and what do you think of maidana looking like **** against demarcus corley?

If I were Rios, I'd chase Khan now rather than later. Like Garcia said, Khan is very talented but he's also very beatable, and Rios has got the style to give him fits. People in this thread are making the same mistake they did in the lead-up to Khan-Maidana. They're making out as though Khan is this supreme boxer who echoes the Mayweathers and the Roy Jones' of the world, and one who would easily handle the come-forward fighters. Well we found out that night, that Khan, for the moment, is a far from being that fighter.

This would be a hell of a close fight.

    this

i want to see how khan does against a heavy handed guy whos in his face all night, maidana cant cut off the ring and throws one big shot at a time, so it will be a different fight.

rios might not be such a beast if the guy he was fighting didnt lay on the ropes and punched that soft body of his

he put in a great performance sure, but he wont go too far being tagged as many times as he was

rios hardly went to the body against acosta, and the reason acosta was against the ropes was the same reason pacquiao was against margarito, the opponents put them there.

What makes you think Rios would be as affective moving up where his size advantage isnt as prominent.

Look at Ricky Hatton he was a beast at 140 at 147 was lucky to win against Collazo.

Maidana's punches weren't short and compact like Rios' either, so I don't see him dealing with Rios' barrage of inside-attacks very well. Khan would have Rios in his face for the full 3 minutes of every one of those 12 rounds. If his conditioning and defence isn't up to par, he could suffer the same fate Cotto did against Margarito.

As a Khan fan, I'm not in a rush to push for this fight, I tell you that. If it has to take place, hopefully it'll be when Khan has settled at 147, and where Rios won't be enjoying that much of a size/weight advantage. Because at the moment, I think he walks into the ring heavier than Khan - who comes in at 149.

Good point. Which is why, hopefully, by the time Rios is eligible to call out Khan, Khan would have moved up to 147. Because I personally think the transition frrom 135 to 140 won't be that much of a problem for Rios. He's massive lightweight as it is, even outweighing most light welterweights when he steps in the ring. 147, however, may be a different story for him. That's two divisions away from his current self.

and as a rios fan i'm not in a rush for it to happen either, Rios' first championship fight and he abandoned his gameplan and abandoned his jab and head movement, he needs more experience before he takes on khan and he has more to learn.

i listened to rios on a radio show last night and a fan asked why did you not jab your way in close like you did in your previous fights, he said he was nervous and had a lot of adrenaline pumping and forgot almost everything he learned until he got comfortable in there around the 7th or 8th round.

Chasing is futile he has to fall in line.... Not even sure if he can get past Devon or Maidana.. And if you're Khan would you really entertain this fight and will it make sense financially? It's gonna be a wide UD if this fight happens. Heck, i think Paulita Malignaggi will beat this mini-margarito let alone Khan ;)
