Shutup , Larry Holmes is by far the greatest opponent Wladamir will have ever faced and has all the tools and more to beat Wlad , has Wladamir even faced a real quality opponent throughout his career ?
That's fine-****ing-tastic. But if your only going to venture down here for Klistchko topics, just stay the **** in general with Fighting Weight, Hendo, and other trolls.
what the ****s up with you , Im simply giving the logical answer Holmes beats Wlad without too much of a struggle.
You could cut the tension with a knife in here, i'm glad i'm not a hipster backpacking ****** like some of you
Its fine to pick Holmes to beat Wlad. But to say that he'd do it with out a struggle has little or no basis. You can rant and rave about how Wlad never defeated an opponent of Larry's calibur, but what similarities do you see between Klitschko and any of the men who Holmes defeated, or even lost to for that matter? At least Wlad has proven that he can beat slick technical boxers in Chris Byrd and Eddie Chambers, and while those men are not on Holmes' level, neither is Gerry Cooney on Wlad's..
I'm sure the fact you spent all day trolling Klistchko threads in general..is competely unrelated and you aren't trying to bait that cluster**** down here.
Good point, their careers are not very dissimilar in a sense, but to observe the footage shows that Holmes is better from my perspective, his heart is like a mountain compared to Wlad's pebble, this must be recognised. I've already posted and stated that Wlad is somewhat great in my opinion, i don't underrate the man.
I try. Now Wlad-Cooney, that's a more competitive and interesting fight here. Cooney actually kinda reminds me of Sanders in appearance and build, with a big left and some dynamite hidden somewhere in a flabby body. Epic fight, with knockdowns on both sides. I'm not sure who'd win that one...
I agree completely.. Holmes mental resolve was several leagues above Wlad's, and no rational fan or expert would try to argue differently. The key however, to making Wlad unravel mentally, is to get in close and out tough him on the inside with hard shots, and that just wasn't Holmes' game. Smaller, lighter hitting fighters who try to out jab and outmove Klit from the outside are generally beaten and badly at that. Now, I don't need to be reminded that men like Eddie Chambers and Chris Byrd are no where near Holmes in that department, but by that same token, they posses the same sort of blue print in style and physical description that Holmes would bring with him on fight night. Due to Holmes' incredible heart, recuperative powers and superior skill, I'd still favor him to take a close decision, but there is nothing to suggest in my mind that he'd duplicate what he did to Cooney against Wladimir Klitschko.
I disagree there. Wlad and Holmes both have tremendous heart, having to get off the canvas to win fights. I would lean towards Holmes because of his mobility and more proven stamina, but this is going to be a tough match up for him.
