I keep hearing this forum to match Rios with the likes of Marquez or Khan.........

......hell, I'd like to see Rios in some exciting barn burners. Why match the kid up totally outclassed at this point?

There are exellent matchups at lightweight to make for exciting fights.

I say Rios vs Katsidis who always bring fourth the effort and has the exact same style of Rios........

.....or Juan Diaz.....if matched against a fighter that will be there for him, Diaz is still fully capable to compete or even beat any lightweight in the world!

These matchups I feel are tossup fights, which is why imo they should be made!:deal

Juan Diaz is done as a top fighter and likely stopped against Rios I wouldn't want to see Diaz take trhe beating Rios would give him.

I would like to see Rios fight Kats who I feel has more left than Diaz at this point.

Yeah Diaz would get destroyed at this point.

Katsidis would be a good test.

Diaz beat Katsidis, and the reason he did so was because Diaz in his style is a better boxer than Katsidis.

Where Diaz has looked bad was against Malignaggi in their rematch......Malignaggi was boxing from distance and actually running away and around Diaz' laterals.

I wont be convinced Diaz is done as a fighter until he is'nt competitive against a fighter that stands still to fight.

Rios and Kats style are perfect for Juan Diaz.
I believe Diaz will at the very least compete if not beat those guys.

Rios vs. Katsidis needs to happen, what a fight that would be.

Katsidis is one of my favourite fighters (I reckon Katsidis is one of the most well-liked fighters around to be fair) but Rios has genuine power and Katsidis would no doubt take a shitload of big shots. Can't really see him lasting the full 12 rounds but it would be amazing while it lasted.

Diaz is finished at the top level, his hunger just isn't there anymore.

All about Rios vs. Maidana in a year or 2, now that would be ****in brutal!

Rios would **** up a prime Diaz, nevermind now.

Juan Diaz remains one of the most overrated fighters of the last 10 years.

I reckon Rios would probably beat Katsidis, he has a better chin, looks more robust and strong.

    Hypothetically, I love both fights.

A fight with the Baby Bull would be a great domestic rivalry fight between
California and Texas, and Michael Katsidis would be an all out war.

Both match-ups are FOTY candidates for sure and fans would love them. Man, I love fighters like Bam-Bam and the baby bull...they're so good for boxing.

It's too bad both fighters are Golden Boy fighters and there is no possibility of these match ups happening.

I have my doubts about Katsidi stamina, he recovered from a difficult 1-2 rds against casamayor(who was already shot) and was dominating until started faded in 9 rd and got KO in 10.
    with marquez, about the same.

Good point, he does more hurt-able the more he wears down, stamina wise.

    Rios TKO Katsidis
    Rios UD/TKO Diaz

Both would be good fights to put Rios on the next stage and then onto JMM.
