This Castillo beat Mayweather business has gone on long enough

:rofl TS gets his ass handed to him once again Mexico's most underrated fighter wins the poll over Floyd. Nothing to be ashamed about, JLC was a beast in his prime beat alot of great fighters including Floyd. Last time we get to see Floyd in with a great fighter in their prime. A draw would of been fair at the least. 40-1 imo.

Punch numbers don't mean anything...a good number of the punches "landed" were being taken on the arms or blocked by Mayweather, that was pretty clear. Other peoples scores don't mean anything either (they tend to get it reasonably close...but that first bouts commentary was so biased toward Castillo...no doubt influencing peoples opinion on the bout).

The best way to score this bout is to turn the volume off, ignore the scoring on screen between rounds...avoid being biased against Mayweather (or Castillo)...and go from there.

I don't remember my exact score, but I had Mayweather just edging it by a point I believe...although I have scored it a draw once or twice (that's the most I can give Castillo). .

That is why I don't watch fights with "sweet science" attached to it.

"Sweet science" simply means that at the start of the fight, boxer A decided that he will win in a dominant point decision. If a knockout comes, it is a bonus - but I won't be looking for it.

For me, that is cheating the fans.

I only watch fighters who at a get go decided that "I will remove yo9ur head off MF".

Maybe I am just old school.

I thought it was very biased toward Castillo throughout, close rounds that could have went either way...the commentary certainly could have tipped it for Castillo.

The only reason I say punch numbers don't really mean anything, is because people tend to bring it up all the time with this bout...but then forget that Compubox is not reliable at all, especially when a good number (certainly not all) of the punches clearly didn't land or were blocked.

Mayweather looked very nervous, and rightly so, it was a very close bout. Could have gone either way. It just happens Mayweather got the nod. Like I said, close bout...which is also why I don't understand how people have Castillo picking up 8 rounds...

I just finished re-watching the entire fight, I scored it 114-114 a draw....

Castillo's rounds were won more conviningly , but Mayweather's Defense won the first 4 rounds in my opinion. This coming from someone who really doesn't like Mayweather, and that's well known.. But I still consider myself a non-bias fan when it comes to scoring fights and such, and I have it 114-114 with maybe 2 toss up rounds.

Mayweather was great in the 11th round.

If I could be bothered finding my analysis of the bout, I'd post it.

Over 58% of the fans on this site cannot score a fight. Business as usual.

Castillo won the first fight, everybody knows it.

That's why i don't understand all the hype bout floyd's 0, he clearly lost once.

He just isn't in the same league as the Pacster and would get raped in the ring.

if Floyd would have lost a fight then nobody would be making a big deal about the debatable decision. In all honesty it was a close fight, but people need to watch objectively and score fights based on who does the best work, and not based on who they want to see lose.
