Thats what i was saying man.
It seems like everyone would just keep talking about Rios after the fight.

Acosta showed he was actually more versatile than Rios. He boxed beautifully and also traded beautifully.
Im a fan and i demand to see more of him.

Unfortunately for him he needs to learn how to clinch more and or sit down on his punches more. He has power and speed. I really feel he should have stopped Rios in the 4th. Rios was very hurt that round. Its the only round he was not coming forward. If anything he was backing up to avoid being TKOd. It reminded me of when JMM hurt Katsidis. Katsidis was coming forward all fight until he got hurt then JMM jumped in and stopped him.

Acosta should have done the same thing. Obviously he is not in the same class as JMM as a precise puncher so he wasnt able to. If he gets that sharpened he could be the top LW and even beat JMM.

You missed the number 1 candidate for FOTY so far. And it could actually hold up to get FOTY. It had all the right results.

No I meant that fight reminded me of the Cotto Margo fight in that Cotto/Acosta started well but constant pressure from Margo/Rios wore them down to a stoppage.

Acosta a well rounded fighter I think he may become champion again, just needs to clinch more and think more in the ring. He looks huge for a LW too. I honestly think with some tighter defense especially when he's moving back or laterally he'll save himself alot of punishment and discourage powerpunchers like Rios. Acosta has lost before he knows how to comeback from this and I give the guy respect and credit as well. Would love to see him face Soto or Katsidis.

I think he beats both. Soto would not be able to put the kind of pressure to beat him and i dont think he outboxes him.
Katsidis while he can put on good pressure would more than likely get stopped himself. To open and his chin has cracked before.

:deal Acosta is too mobile for these 2. I also think he outboxes Soto and possibly stops Katsidis.

Wasn't he discouraged after his previous 3 losses? Hopefully it was the losing streak and not the fact that he was KO'd that discouraged him.. Want him to come back better than ever!
