"So, when it came time for me to see if I should fight Klitschko again, I thought - at my worst, at my worst! I beat Klitschko and look what I did to his face! I was at my worst - just think [what would’ve happened] if I’d trained just a little bit harder. I didn’t need to fight him again."[23]

    True.
Don't expect Klitchko fans to believe it though.

    Lennox and his razor thumb.

I think he would have won the rematch, but that's a cop-out.

Why did Lennox take Mike Tyson to court though in order to force him to honor the rematch clause for the second fight between the two?

If the same logic applied here then wouldn't a rematch with Vitali not have made more sense than trying to chase a washed up Tyson for a rematch?

I think its bull****, vitali gave him hell for 6 rounds and he didnt want to go trough that again, he was lucky to cut vitali. I dont blame him for retiring he would have got his ass kicked in a rematch.

What a cop out, what a way to spin things.
Fact is, Lewis was down 4-2 on the scorecards at the time of the stoppage.

People talk about Lewis not being prepared...well Vitali stepped into the fight with Lewis on very short notice, so that argument could be made for both fighters.

Truth is, Lewis didn't want to face Vitali because of the possible loss, and that's the bottom line.

Lewis is a smart guy he knew his heart wasnt in the game anymore why get knocked out and humilated or leave on your own terms.
He is one of the few guys that knew when to retire on time.

Lets add a paragraph from that interview:

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=25904&more=1

He didn't give a rematch because Vitali is a good guy??

Really? Maybe Lennox should keep his mouth shut about the rematch.

Yeah its a pity that Lewis doesnt give them out to others as they did to him

If ever a fight warranted a rematch it was this , the world was clamouring for it for a reason
