No. He blatantly gassed in the first few rounds. Was holding on to Vitali like a drunkard and barely throwing.

He was at his highest weight ever.

He was old.

He was underprepared for Vitali, as he had expected to fight a scrub - Kirk Johnson. So therefore had trained lighter than usual.

Nothing, I was just wondering how you explain Lewis saying:

before the fight: "I am in great shape"
after the fight: "I was at my worst"

the only explanation is that Lewis was in a great shape but was made to look as if he was at his worst by Vitali. Unless, of course, Lewis lied?

 

I think VK is the lucky one, a least he can said that he went 6 rounds with LL and lost because a bad cut, when, truth b told LL was coming up and he was going down if the fight wouldn't had been stopped IMO VK would had been KO for real or his corner would had throw in the towel, he was eating uppercuts like Solis eat churrascos, but that is the beaty of it, since the fight was stopped and LL retired we will never know.

 

Tired he was same like VK, outgunned and out boxed Na, VK took a beating more than the last few rounds against Byrd.
Common guys, he looks like Frankenstein and he initiates all the clinch and hugging and those uppercuts were a thing of beauty.

The only reason he didn't went down on the 6th is because he has crazy glue on his gloves and was glue to LL.

 

Just wish Vitali fans could come out and say: our guy gave the last great heavy we've seen a run for his money in his last fight, had the better of the first 4 rounds but ulitmately lost convincingly due to some very bad cuts.

Why come out with all the crazy; Vitali retired Lewis, the cut(s) was from an illegal punch, Vitali would beat Lewis in a hypothetical Primes H2H fight etc

I mean going toe to toe with a shot Lewis for 6 rounds before losing is pretty much the most impressive thing Vitali has done in his career- what does that tell you about the relative resumes', abilities, and careers of the two fighters?

 

Lewis won, fair and square, cuts are a part of the business.

But, lets be fair, Vitali landed over 50% more punches, won 4 out of the 6 rounds and fought the latter part of the fight with only one eye.

Based on all the controversy I think it would be fair to grant Vitali a reamatch. Lewis was offered A LOT OF MONEY. I don´t think he liked his chances and therefore decided to retire...

On paper he won, the fight, he lost.

He retired, because he is smart. He knew Vitali was entering his prime and he would not be able to beat him at 38, so he ran with what he had.

 

Its funny and also kind of sad how Vitali fans cant grasp the final ****ing result. Lennox Lewis TKO6 Vitali Klitschko. I dont give a **** if Vitali was ahead on points, bask in that false glory all you want, but by bigging up his biggest defeat you also ensure that the loss is what he will be remembered by whether your a fan of his or not. Shame when all thing considered that he is a formidable fighter in his own right.
