I just enjoy reading Lewis nuthuggers making excuses that Lewis was old, was overweight, out of shape, gassed. They know in the back of their little minds that Lewis was not the best man in the fight. That's the reason they come up with excuses like that. They cannot accept that their hero had finally met his match. For them, he had to be out of shape despite the fact that Lewis said he was as good as ever before the fight and promised to continue fighting.

As much as I love the Klitschkos, it's difficult to imagine Lennox losing a rematch.
Such a pity that we'll never know for sure :(

    Lennox Lewis is gay.

No *** can ever beat a straight guy, it's just common sense.

Whatever Lewis's reasons were for not stepping back in the ring with Vitali Klitschko, I really don't think that a rematch would have proven anything. Had these guys signed for another fight, by the time it came off, we would have been looking at either a 39 or 40 year old Lewis, and a victory for Vitali would only ad another chapter in the ongoing pages of history of young pugilists dispatching declining foes. Klitschko had his chance, and against a version of Lewis who was already ripe enough for the picking as it was, yet he failed, and I don't blame the ringside doctor, his corner or Jesus Christ almighty.. Lewis was 38 years of age, off for 12 months, and showed up at a career high weight. His previous two opponents were a totally shot Mike Tyson and Hasim Rahman. Despite the obvious, he took Klits best signature shots, and dished out plenty of punishment himself.. He opened one of the worst cuts that I have ever seen in a heavyweight title fight, and although was exhausted, was beginning to land more and more often.. I have always felt that this fight generated a lot more controversy than was necessary, and I can't help but think that it had a lot to do with Vitali's childish tantrum which followed the doctor's decision. So what would have happened had the fight continued? Who knows.. Lewis may have tired and been knocked out..... Then again, Vitali could have sustained permanant damage to his eye, that may have resulted in the end of his career. Klitschko sure as hell didn't seem disappointed after he quit against Chris Byrd, despite kicking his ass for 9 rounds and having a grip on the scorecards......
