The reason some of us don't think it was all that contriversal is because Lewis won the fight. And in the case of someone getting TKO'd stats are for losers. I couldn't care less if Vitali won every damn round leading up to the stoppage..he still lost the fight. Conn was beating Louis until he was knocked out..that's called boxing children.

As to whether or not Lewis was shot, try watching the Ruddock fight and then the V.K. fight back to back and watch for yourself.

Only there's a huge difference between getting stopped by a cut (something you can't control very well, though to Lewis' credit he did a good job going after it once it was open) and getting KO'd. You have to be a hack not to see that.

I think he figured: "Vitali is for real. If I'm gonna fight him again, I need to get in the best shape of my life orelse he could beat me. I'm too old to go through that kind of training camp at this stage of my career. **** it."

If Lewis won the fight then why WBC ordered the rematch?

Who still cares about this? It's like asking who shot first, Han or Greedo?

points dont ****ing matter at the end of a stoppage in a fight like this. Lewis has been in trouble in previous fights too like against Bruno and Briggs. Lewis would have knocked him out if it continued

Yeah he would've knocked out the guy who's never been KOd and who took a flush shot like this and just kept going.

Lewis could have retired after Tyson but he gave the new young a shot at the title and Klitschko couldn`t beat an out of shape Lennox. End of story.

The WBC are a joke, like every other sanctioning body. Alvarez-Hatton anyone?

There is no 'if' Lewis won, he did win & its unequivocal.
