Heaps of time to fill in and the clubs are doing their best to help them fill it in so the players dont go silly.

 

I'm hearing Bennett has done an Inglis and reneged on his verbal commitment to Souths and will coach at Brisbane in 2012.

 

In NSW, union is so far behind league in popularity it is laughable.

 

Not really the same though is it considering Union was not even professional at the time.

Dude Rugby Union for decades tried to destroy Rugby League. Just look at the backlash some of those welsh players recieved when they went to league. Totally absurd!!

For the recprd I have no problems with players leaving League to go to Union to earn more money. My concern is what the RFL are going to do to make sure its not a common occurence with young players leaving to go to Union.

Players were baited up North for the fatter Northern coin after playing for their local clubs neigh on all their lives , League didn't give a flying **** about taking those players away fron Union why should Union give a **** about the state of rugby league now ? League raped Union for the best part of a century now Union will plunder league for decades probably what goes around etc . BTW who are these players that got "Backlashed " , Jiffy Davies , Adolf Hadley , Dai Bish, Dai young , Stu Evans ???? None of these were given any **** back here in Wales as far as i can recall in fact people knew why they went in the first place and were glad to see they had earn't a few bob .

For the record i enjoy watching both codes and hope league can survive in the Northern half of the planet but seeing as it only played seriously up in a few places in the North of England and France i can understand your concern though.

 

Well in Old South Wales it's quiet the reverse ,now that is laughable when you consider all that went on Pre Union going officially pro . It think it just goes in circles Duke .

 

Concerned its dying? Na league has suffered worse times. Union getting the game banned in the armed forces, blacklisting players who played league and still to this day the establishment and private educated media bosses continuing to ignore the 'peasants game' . League was actually thriving in France until union over there got the fascist government to ban it.

 

League is banned in France ? **** i didn't know it was outlawed there when did this happen ? as for the blokes who took to the pro ranks and returned back here to Wales ,,well it was still an unpayed sport officially so their hands were tied concerning that but they did allow players to earn within the Welsh rugby set up once the sport went officially pro . Jifft Davies , Da Young , Rowland Phillips ,Hadley , Bish , Terry H etc etc included so there couldn't have been that too bad a reaction to those players returning .BTW there ain't too snobs playing union here in fact i would say 99% of the Players registered here with the WRU would fall into what you would probably label the "peasant Category " .

Betting scam claim: Tandy denies false evidence charges

Bulldogs rugby league footballer Ryan Tandy has pleaded not guilty to lying to the NSW Crime Commission about his betting activity on two NRL games last year.

Tandy, 29, appeared today at the Downing Centre Local Court on four charges of giving evidence that was false or misleading at two Crime Commission hearings.

i guess he just realised he was nearly 30, barely making the 1st grade side and decided to make some big bucks before he got benched... he is guilty as sin when you look at the evidence, it all just makes sense

Carney is a imbread little brat, his own home town of Goulburn have banned him from most public places because he is such a doochbag!

It's ok for him to get caught speeding while drink driving
It's ok for him to **** on some unexpecting bloke in a pup
It's ok for him to outrun the cops from ACT to Goulburn
It's ok for him drink drive again, and use the oldest excuss in the book

Carney will ruin his career in the next few months, what excuse will the Roosters use then?
