When did Andre Ward suddenly become an elite fighter? He's on the same level as Froch as far as I'm concerned. Froch actually has the more impressive wins, and you could say is the more proven fighter.
Froch got a gift against Andre Dirrell. Ward is better more disciplined then Andre Dirrell. Was getting beat up by Jermaine Taylor and on his way to losing before scoring a last second knockout. Andre Ward is far far superior to Taylor. And Froch lost to Kessler. Who Andre Ward dominated. Get real. :nut
Ward wont run against Froch though. he will stand there and fight and that could work against him because Froch has some power. A lot will depend on the referee in terms of what he will let Ward away with. Ward does have the better skills but against BIka it was shown he could be drawn into a scappy fight which is something Froch would want. If he moves he should win a UD but its not a walk over. 60/40 for me
When did Froch become a scrappy fighter? When did he show the ability to fight on the inside, or even the desire to fight on the inside? Against Dirrell every time Dirrell clinched he whined to the ref. Against Kessler and Abraham he was constantly fighting off the backfoot. Everything Froch does suits Wards game. Same thing I said when he fought Dirrell.
I like Froch but I think Ward will beat quite convincingly. He's got the skill of Dirrell but he wont run as much therefore I can see him getting a unanimous decision if it's not in Nottingham.
