wlad has a left hook??? this is all wlad does....jab jab right hand at a slow pace...repeat x 100 per fight
Eddie Chambers, KO'd with a left hook. Samuel Peter, KO'd with a bunch of punches including a left hook. Ray Austin? KO'd with left hooks to the head without ever throwing the right hand. Need more? Now get the **** outta here til you learn to watch the fights before commenting on them. :hi:
I havent posted this for the knockout , but just to show how **** poor Wlad's Jab is and you are comparing it to fooking Louis and Holmes. I can have a good jab against heavy bags . Wlad paws with the jab and brings it back down to his waist. Please. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqEANlBbhsA[/ame]
3 left hooks in how many fights ??????? wlad is a very basic robotic fighter , he wouldnt have lasted long in the 70s , 80s or 90s
I just don't see Wlad pushing the action enough to wear Holmes down, nor do I see him being active enough to pursuade judges. It wouldn't be a barnburner (no fight with a Klit is), but Holmes dances his way to a close decision.
I want see Wlad in with opponent that will punch out of his clinches and a referee that will either penalise him a point for holding or let his opponent actually fight his way out. It would be interesting to see how Wlad would cope with that Ruskull, the nature of Wlads defeats will always be brought up against him and in fairness, correctly so. The reply to can X, Y and Z beat Wlad will arguably be yes, and although you probably have heard this x100, if Sanders, Purrity and Brewster can beat Wlad, why cant Larry HOlmes?
Even people who don't like Wlad admit he has an extremely good left hook. It isn't the best, or the second best etc in Heavyweight history, but it is in the top 10. He uses it very well off the jab, and can double or triple it up nicely. Now if you said that Wlad had a poor uppercut then you would be right. As it is, you have just exposed a real lack of knowledge about the topic you are posting on.
Obviously you have to consider the losses as well as the wins.................should we only use Larry's worst fights to compare? I assumed this fight was supposed to be each fighter in their prime, not at their worst.
Thanks, sometimes I think I'm the only one that actually watches the fighters before commenting on them. For the record Wlad has been using the uppercut a lot lately with mixed results. Some good, some bad. He used it effectively against Samuel Peter in the second fight & if I remember correctly, he used it against Brewster in their second fight too.
I think Holmes piston like Jab would keep Wlad too defensive and I think Holmes would most likely outpoint Wlad due to Wlad being too cautious. Holmes UD.
