Perhaps Froch would have a chance, if it's not in Oakland

I have never seen a SMW that would have the stamina to outwork Calzaghe the guys engine was awesome and Ward would probably do well but just get frustrated by the southpaw stance fast inside flurry and get outworked to a UD.

It would depend on Son of Ottke leaving his own backyard and not having his uncle refereeing, but I'd favour Calzaghe.

That would be a nice fight! But Ward would sure hell need more than his hometurf, and his god to beat Calzaghe!

Sugar Joe Calzaghe KO's him in no less than 3.

We're talking prime Sugar Joe here, when he was ref assisted stopping bitches LEFT AND RIGHT. Before his hands became brittle he was a genuine power punching MACHINE, the likes of which the lhw division hadn't seen since Mike Spinks.

Why people even bother bringing up Calzaghe

You know hes going to get critisized like ALWAYS.

Nobody will ever have any respect for that man.... so spare him already

I dont know if anybody remembers, back in the day I was the biggest Calzaghe critic on this site

But now im just feelin sad for him,its just sad im actually showing sympathy for him

Anyway... he put this on himself

But lets Just move on already

I won't dispute your knowledge of torn sphincters. But Ward still kicks Cal's ass...

Calzaghe, in his prime would have beat Ward without question. The only way Ward would have a remote chance if he had the fight in Oakland and a ref that let him do whatever he wanted.

Of course no bias when Calzaghe -
    - Outlanded Hopkins
    - Landed more on Hopkins than anyone ever
    - Denied Hopkins his usual strong finish
    - Scored the single highest score against Hopkins ever
    - Had 2 judges agree on 9 of the rounds to show Calzaghes dominance
    - If Hopkins thought he was winning he wouldnt have been looking to get points deducted off of Calzaghe
    - Had Hopkins hanging on trying to buy time

    Other points

    - Beat Hopkins sandwiched between Hopkins best victories of Tarver, Wright and Pavlik
    - Beat Hopkins at a new weight
    - Beat Hopkins in America with 3 American judges and Cortez as ref, who let Hopkins hold illegally and use the head illegally

    Facts.

Calzaghe would clearly and easily beat Ward. Just consider all of the fights many felt Calzaghe was going to lose or fighters many felt had a chance against Calzaghe - Eubank, Mitchell, Jones, Hopkins, Kessler, Lacy. They never learn.
Wars would be thrown in too early like Lacy was and would be brutally exposed by Calzaghe who would match him on the inside and beat him on the outside

Calzaghe fought split decisions with Robin Reid and Hopkins.

Ward would beat both of them by wide decisions. Ward has never had a fight that wasn't a UD or TKO/KO in his favor.

    I'll take Ward

Calzaghe couldnt easily beat Robin Reid, and took 3 rounds to figure out Mikkel Kessler, yet he's going to easily beat Andre Ward, who stylistically, athletically, and skill wise would be the 2nd greatest fighter he's fought (says alot about Calslaps career) and he's going to win easily?

Andre Ward would be more then a match for calslaps.
