Hopkins was landing the cleaner and more powerful shots, slaps to the body shouldn't be counted. Andre Ward would dominate Calzaghe in a match but I'm not sure about Hopkins that match can go either way.

I doubt you have really followed the career of Reid and doubt you know that Calzaghe beat Reid away where he was a 5 point winner on 2 cards and that the 3 studio guests all had Calzaghe a 5 point winner.
Calzaghe found Kessler out and beat an undefeated fighter, Ward beat an unwell fighter that Calzaghe gave the blueprint on how to beat.
Ward would be Calzaghes 2nd best win :huh, what better than Eubank, Prime Kessler, Mitchell, Jones and Lacy.
All Ward has on his resume is a win over an unwell double vision suffering Kessler , and didnt look anywhere near as good as Calzaghe when struggling with Bika.

Yes Calzaghe would clearly beat Ward. Live with it and accept it.
I remember when I schooled you on the subject of Dawson, and you were bigging up Dawson saying he could beat Calzaghe , funny how silent you have become since Dawson got beat by Pascal

Calslaps won an SD against Robin Reid. That many posters on this website feel he got a gift.

Any decent American champion around that time knocks Reid out. Which shows the level of competition Slaps was facing in England.

Kessler was undefeated because he was fighitng scrubs in Europe. The best fighter he faced up to that point was Librado Andrade. Kessler gets schooled by Dawson, BHop, Dirrell, hell I'd take tavoris Cloud over Kessler and I dont even rate Cloud.
Ward and Calslaps beat Kessler completely differently. Calslaps lost 3 rounds vs Kessler. Maybe even 4. Ward won in a walk.
Eubank was shot had 2 weeks to prepare for the fight. Mitchell. Who? lol. Jones was shot as seen in his fight against Tito. Lacy was an average fighter on his best day. Ward beats every fighter you listed easier then slaps.
Not this bull**** again. Ward beats Kessler on his best day 11-1. The one round he loses he loses because the judges feel sorry for Kessler.

All you have to live with and except is that Calslaps is irrelevant. Retired. On coke. Will never be an ATG. And Ward is currently the best 168lb fighter in the world and will easily trump slaps accomplishments and is already in his mid-20's close to doing so. :yep

Soon as he gets a set of balls and fights outside of Oakland he`s f**ked. Not fit to carry King Joe`s spit bucket. :hi:

Sugar Joe's domination of Lacy made him an instant ATG. Pre-fight predictions were hilariously wrong. In the end, Lacy's hype is what makes this fight an ATG victory.

Ward can continue building his resume, honing his craft and beating top ten contenders and champions, nothing he does will ever compare to Sugar Joe.:hi:

Why even compare the two. What Sugar Joe lacks in resume and fundamentals he makes up with blistering speed, devastating power, and ATG workrate:deal. Ward would be overwhelmed and stopped. Total mismatch.

    :deal

Ward has a totally different skillset to Dirrell, it's like comparing roy jones to hopkins, on a way lower level.

    No.

They both have similar skill sets in the sense that they both possess the ability to effectively box and/or potshot a way to an easy victory. Ward is obviously more versatile with a more rugged and workman like mentality so he has a tendency to "fight" more.

    He's no Sugar Joe though.

Ward doesn't have the same speed, I hate this snivelling **** but I have rarely seen faster, ward could imitate that style but not as well he will probably box in front of froch which I make ward the favourite but I'm not 100 percent on that

He doesn't need to when his timing is infinitely better. He could probably do a Dirrell better than Dirrell could.
