how do you figure Pac and JMM. To me a big puncher is someone who can end the fight with one shot at any moment. Pac is a very snappy puncher who can get anyones respect but to say he is a top 5 i dont think so. JMM has some good pop and can put you in trouble but i think its more to do with his timing and it being a counter so i also dont think he qualifies for this. Also I forgot to mention Wlad. Another one who might make the list just has to prove himself more is Lemiux from Canada.
The Hayemaker Randall Bailey Arthur Abraham at middleweight Maidana Juanma(?) Btw Donaire isnt huge thudding puncher. Hes just very good technically and lands accurate, crisp punches.
Can someone please explain why Bailey?? I always hear his name come up when i really cant remember him knocking out anyone of note. Anyone can knock out bums brutally. Power is about knocking out top level guys. Who has Bailey knocked out that was at least decent??
No way man. Rios is a grinder. He uses pressure to break you. Although he does have more power than your typical grinder. I think if he had faster hands he would be able to finish fights earlier without having to grind his opponents down. Martinez while hes KO of Williams was impressive that had alot to do with PW walking straight into that punch. I think he is very underrated in the power department. People look at KO percetages too much and his is not very high but i have said it for a while that Martinez was the hardest puncher at 154. His punches are very good yet not concussive. Now if he KOs Dzinzurik then maybe he has been working on his power and deserves a mention but for now i think he is just a good puncher not great yet. I read in an article that he has been focusing on power now that he moved up.
Yes. He hasn't shown any 1-punch KO power at SMW. Actually he hasn't shown a whole lot of (anything) at SMW. +1 If he was that big a puncher he would have KO'ed Ngoudjo, who was never good enough to reach the very top of the div. But he lost. If David Lemieux doesn't make this list, Bailey doesn't either. When Lemieux gets rid of Rubio in explosive fashion, he definitely makes it on this list. :deal David's opponents -so far- have mostly come in the ring thinking he was nothing special. How many fights have you watched where a guy COMPLETELY changes his approach right after he's been hit flush once? Yvon Michel isn't Bob Arum, ODLH or even Don King. No cocky BS at pressers. Yet after the Camacho Jr KO, he dared saying anyone at 160 or 168 that would get hit clean by David, would fall. I'll bookmark this thread for post-Rubio purposes. :happy
