Over on the Scene of Boxing, Haye claims the Klitschkos were the ones who made contact with them. He says: However, BoxingDomain, in his thread This content is protected , claims it was Haye who went back to them: Yes, I know, BoxingDomain is just a poster. But he's an honest poster. He's certainly appears to be more reliable than Haye or Booth. But just to make sure, does anyone else have anything on who resumed the talks again?
We will see if Wlad still fights Chisora before a fight with Haye. If he does, then Haye's statements (First "The fight is dead in the water" ... and now "They called us") don't make much sense. Generally, it appears Wlad has much less to worry about schedule wise than Haye. Wlad had Chisora and Adamek lined up. Haye had nothing. If anybody had any reason to "crawl" then it may have been Haye, partly because Haye's clock is ticking thanks to his self-imposed retirement schedule.
Couldn't either of them have just casually walked back to the other? Sauntered even? Or jogged? Ran? Skipped? Done cartwheels over? Ridden a horse or large turtle over?
for the mentally challenged: WK's offer remained unchanged - fight in July after Chisora. Haye turned it down at first but now he seems to have accepted it. The term "crawled back" sounds offensive to hayelords, that's all. It obvious anyway who came back to the same offer he once walked away from
Amir told me he had to spend many a hour on the phone with Wlad to convince him Haye doesnt want to hurt him that bad, just hyping the fight up and only wants the belts. Wlad then contacted haye via morse code to let him know he's willing to fight aslong as Haye doesnt go all out on him. Pretty sure Wlads only taking the fight because he dont want to get on the wrong side of Amir. P.S where are the mods on this forum? to many trolls roaming about talking ****.
:think...Okay, what if they were on their hands and knees, BUT, they were being pulled by a wagon? What about that, smartass?
Does it matter? If they actually end up in the ring you have to give them both credit, and all the previous talk of ducking can be laid to rest.
:deal As long as the fight happens it really doesn't matter. The person who made first contact deserves credit for actually trying to make the fight that the fans want.
I care. Because I want to know who's making more of an effort to get this fight made. It may be that a couple of months down the line, the fight is called off again and everyone will be pointing fingers once more. But nonetheless, it's great news that the July 2nd date is being considered again.
