apart from Audrey which other UK boxers never lived up to their initial promise?
got thinking about this after the recent threads on Mitchell and Johanneson. Mitchell looks a million miles away from the huge fight against Khan that was mooted and salivated over as long as 5-10 years ago, whilst Johanneson came over with a great story and pedigree but never seems to have progressed. Kirkland Laing from the old days? or what about Danny Williams - looked a world beater at times when he had the right head on ,but the trouble was you never knew which Danny Williams would climb into the ring

Was he really tipped for greatness? he's pretty old. I think he would be doing well domestically if he were active.

David Barnes. His career has ebbed away...he's a talented fighter.

Jamie Moore - I know he was in some of the most entertaining domestic fights in the last few years, but I always expected him to go on to world level and do well. I wonder how much those wars took out of him, and if he had taken some easier/less gruelling fights he may have progressed further...
