Well i think that if Wlad wins which i believe he certainly will, then Vitali will even say that Wlad is the undisputed heavyweight king

Only when Vitali retires. I still regard the older brother as the better fighter. Who is more than capable of winning the IBF, WBO, and WBA titles under Wlad's circumstances...

Vitali should really be smashing Haye as that would even up the belts more between the brothers. Maybe Waldo will give up the WBA belt after he smashes Haye?

let's see... Back at CW Haye never held the IBF title together with other major belts but that never stopped him from regarding himself as the Undisputed CW champion ;)

Yeah I'm happy to call the winner undisputed champ. Lewis didn't beat Ruiz for the WBA belt but most people regarded him as the undisputed champion.

Nay, though the winner of this fight will probably become super gold-plated diamond emeritus champ & have all his other belts stripped.

The WBA will almost certainly "promote" the winner to "Super" champion, but the others are (just a tad) more serious I believe.
Loser will probably be able to fight for the vacant WBA "regular" belt, and call himself "Champion" again :nut

Lewis beat WBA champ Holyfield, it was the WBO that Lewis didn't win but he beat Holyfield when they were the best 2 in the division. The winner of this fight will be consensus champ but not undisputed with neither beating #2 Vitali.

That must be the reason why they never called it "Super" championship, because with SNV holding it they couldn't find a word for it. Just Super would have been a insult for Valuev! :good

Given that Vitali has the most prized belt, no.

Undisputed in the strictest sense, means all four major belts.

Most are ok with WBA/WBC/IBF definition though.

Haye at CW had Ring/WBC/WBA/WBO but not IBF. Seems a bit unfair not to consider him undisputed, but many do.

If WK beats DH and gets his WBA belt, will you consider him undisputed champ? (Hint: he will have The Ring/IBF/WBA/WBO belts if he wins)

but says in the same post:

Go figure them Haye fans :huh

I think you just discovered the exercise of this thread Rudolph :yep

This, plus a lot here don't seem to grasp the meaning of the word "undisputed".

Since Wlad is the present World heavyweight champion, the winner of a fight between him and Haye will be the World heavyweight champion. All those cheezy Alphabet Soup belts aren't worth three cents. Wlad holds the only title belt that means anything anymore, The Ring Magazine championship belt. His brother is just a leading contender with another cheezy belt.
