Chauncy may very well be a sparring partner for some big names but don't forget Oliver Mc Call was also thought as one and he defeated Lennox Lewis for the title. So you never know how things may play out.

I'm surprised the ring didn't collapse from all the excess fat of both fighters. Even Solis could afford to have a good laugh at Welliver's condition in that fight.

Yep. Well, at least Chauncy admits he wasn't in great shape, I will definitely give him that. That's more than Solis has done.

I agree with you. This guy hasn't beaten a top 25 guy. He will never be a top ten guy. Just because he's a nice guy and puts out a lot of PR doesn't make him a contender.

But being sanctioned in the top ten by an organization does.

Hes a joke. When he fought Solis he was so fat his titties were swinging more often and a lot more dangerously than his fists.

I want to see a Welliver vs Fields fight for the Native American title. I would like to see how Welliver handles someone that big.

Crowd pleaser though,Ive only seen him the once but he gave it a good go and is a likeable bloke.I got the feeling that if he put more work in training wise he could get himself a few a good pay days.Glad to hear he seems to be doing just that.

Hipp was gutsy but I would not hire the guy to get another boxer into shape. His manager Jankelson did not lead Thomas to the heavyweight championship, Pinklon was long gone before he fought for a title. In fact there is much more to the reasons that Hipp even stayed in the rankings and got a title fight.
Team Welliver is hoping to catch lightning in a bottle and land a payday....that is the MOST that they can hope for.

:yepHard to say. Bet they's end up like the New Zealand arm wrestler if they fought Welliver. Loss KO 1.

This was a good read. And the beat rolls on.

Welliver is now up to 49-5-5....the dude is actually way better than that record.

He lost a SD in New Zealand where 1 judge scored it for him, 59-56, and he was 22 years old, in 2005. Since then, he is 29-1-2 He revenged both draws and the only loss was to Solis. Now, he got stopped by Solis, but he was never even knocked down. That was dirty low blow from a ref to a man who has 50 fights and has never been dropped. Really quick hook.

In reality Chauncy has been 331 straight HW rounds without ever going down. He is now on a 5 fight KO streak, and his last victory in China over the tough Samoan Lawrence Tauasa, was a nice win.

For those doubting his "garage band" team. They sure look to be much smarter than you douchebags. Welliver has made a nice name for himself in China now. Hipp has him Hillyard Hammering people. And Jankelson is looking like a sly old fox.
