If Alvarez steps on Friday's official scale and his weight is above the contracted limit of 150 pounds, Ricky will advise his brother to withdraw from the fight.

Ricky told Jeff Powell of the Daily Mail: "Our contract with GBP stipulates both fighters come in at or under at 150 lbs. If Alvarez is above that weight I would want Matthew to call it off. He is already giving away weight to a bigger man."

It was contracted at a 150# catchweight, this week they were told that it will be at the limit of 154 and the weigh-in time is now earlier.

Strange for a LMW (154) bout, but Matty takes a beating anyway.

Lucky it isn't "Canelo" Alvarez: "If Ricky is overweight, Matthew withdraws", then we're sure the bout is off.

More of a tactical/mind game than a real threat, Matton won't throw away his gift world title shot. Contract weight was 150lbs, but the WBC said something they can go up to 154 and probably Canelo trusted that as 'official' and doesn't bother with his weight. IMO Hatton hopes Saul will now try to make 150 out of respect and late loss will have an effect on Canelo's physical/mental condition. Physically, for a natural WW who never weighed more than 151 that shouldn't be a problem. Mentally - maybe. But one thing is for sure: Canelo is a good kid who looks for no unfair advantage. When Baldomir noted he'll not be able to make 150, Alvarez said come in at 154 and keep the penelty money for your family.

I forgot about that. He is a good kid just still young and will make dumb decisions from time to time.

Quite right if he dont make the weight, **** him he knew the weight he just wants to take the fine and have the weight advantage.... That is not fair and you couldnt blame mathew hatton for pulling out, even if he is a twat.

Calling out JMM who is a LW.
Fighting for a title so young.
Not clinching when he was hurt against Cotto. Although that definitely won the Mexican fans over. I know. I was in a room with my dad and his friends.
